Occidental college isn't a community college. it's one of the top liberal art schools in the country. i dunno where you get some of your stuff c-gold lol

its in the 2nd tier behind a carleton, amherst, or a middlebury, but it's probably the best out on the west coast besides maybe claremont mckenna. anybody getting into those schools is ivy league capable. the choice is what environment you want to be in. small school vs. large school setting.

When did you become an expert on evaluating liberal arts colleges.
Try Haverford, Swarthmore, Emory & Henry, Bates, Bodwoin, Williams, Connecticut Wesleyan, Colby they all dwarf Occidental by a mile. I'll give you Amherst & Middlebury.

BO is a better than average scholar everyone will give him that. So is William Ayers. Probably the most intellectually capable scholar to recently run for office was Dukakis from Swarthmore it didn't get him very far did it!

There is not an inextricable nexus between intellectual aspirations & presidential capabilies. If so Adlai Stevenson & Dukais would have become great presidents and Harry Truman would have not!

the top of the line LAC's are carleton, amherst, williams, swarthmore, middlebury. anyone who gets into those could've gone to any ivy league if they wanted.

occidental is in the tier below that, but it's still a very prestigious LAC. most of those kids who end up transferring from schools like that do end up in ivies or a georgetown or a john hopkins.

Emory & Henry

Emory & Henry College has been ranked among the top 100 colleges in the US by USA today for several consecutive years. Small liberal arts school located in the Virginia Appalachia. Much better rated than Occidental.
Your knowledge of liberal arts colleges is not much better than your choice of presidential candidates.
