IMO, the tolerance level is different in both places, for various reasons. Personally, I get weary fast with idiots like BTJ taking holding the forums hostage tirelessly posting and rehashing the same subjects after he has been told to 100's of times to stfu. People just get tired of hearing the same lame beef over and over again. Let it stand? Make it go away? Somewhat subjective, depending on the principals or mods, but almost always sways towards what the majority of the posters want. <shrug>

Perhaps, but this wasn't "a link" as you state - it was a dozen of them (over and over again).
When VIPSportsZone schills (for the 84th time) it's taken down - I don't see this as being any different.
When other (non-redundant) promotions are posted, they are moved (handicappers, books, etc) .. this is no different.

Did you know that roughly 70% of all individuals who make homosexual references in a derogatory manner are, in fact, homosexual themselves? Yes it is true.
The reason for their animosity typically derives from shame of their sexuality to the point of open hostility towards other homosexuals known or suspected. If the homosexual leanings are latent, the verbal abuse stems from the inherent tendency to display hostility towards that which attracts; as in the way pre-pubescent males and females display contempt for each other consciously despite the slowly developing natural relationship which emerges during adolescence.
In regards to the remaining 30% of individuals who display anti-homosexual sentiments, or who place adversaries in homosexual situations in an attempt to deride them, the overwhelming majority are in fact borderline psychotic with sexuial predatory tendencies.
The few stragglers who don't fit either camp are typically followers who believe that "playing to the crowd" will in some way enhance their own standing within the crowd.
Not knowing you I have little evidence as to which camp you belong but my professional suggestion to you would be to engage in a bit of sincere self-analysis in an attempt to understand your actions and from which internal issues they emanate.

Seeing how you, in your own word, said that homosexulality "could cause considerable problems" then most certainly (since you're surely the Doctor that you claim to be) must realize that you speak of it as if it were a "condition". I find this interesting, because an objective professional (such as yourself) would surely accept homosexuality as a sexual preference, not a "condition" that "could cause problems". It seems a bit "derogatory" to speak of a person's personal prefences in such a manner, no?

Actually, Mr. Lander, had you been able to muffle your initial defensive reaction and allowed rational thought to invade your consciousness, you would have realized that the:

to which I refer is not homosexuality but rather is neglected internal conflict which, when left to fester with no professional intervention, typically results in pyschotic episodes. I think we could all conclude that a pyschotic episode is a problem best avoided.

I do not care to be taken seriously nor comically. It is just that internet forums such as this one are interesting places to observe human behaviour.
For instance, I have been observing the behaviour of a poster named Sick Gambler here and at other forums and I will tell you that upon a cursory analysis of his posts and interractions with other posters, this individual has some very serious issues that need immediate attention. I am in the process of writing up a full pyscho-analysis of this individual for potential publication in Amateur Pysch Weekly.

1. Latent sexual confusion manifested as overt obsession with homosexual themes through the use of agressive anti-gay dialogue.
