I would just like to give New-Comers a timely reminder, following anyone is fraught with danger. Before committing, be sure you catch every post and have an out at the same odds, vig etc. There is nothing worse than reading the accolades of a posters success, that you have followed and lost money.

well if you followed a poster and lost. while he won, it's your own damn fault.

nothing in the world is free, everything costs a price.

Ace-Ace: Newbie here on this forum. Was a lurker last year but I did follow some of your plays and enjoyed your comments a lot. The key to winning is good money management and discipline. Otherwise the vig will eat you up. Consider myself to to be a "small time gambler" with an average play of $50 and sometimes $100; also will dabble in $10-$20 parlays and teasers but not much (maybe 1-2 on Saturday and Sunday). Have done this for years and cannot remember a losing year. Thanx to you and others, I ended up +$9K last year and hope to make more this year. Keep up the good work/comments. I love your style.:103631605

If your making money and winning 53% of the time, that's fine with me. It's all about how much money your making, not your winning %. I know guys who like to play a lot of dawgs s/u and they are extremely profitable and their winning % is around 45%.

The ROI is not as good, but the bankroll grows.

45% is great if all you bet is dogs in baseball, but in football i can't believe that arguement.
for one, noone bets all dogs in football with a +number for taking the team, it doesn't happen.

and not eveyone uses online betting, so many still pay 10% regardless of the team being favored or not.

so in all fairness of measurement purposes/stats you have to make everyone equal, and that is being a 10% charge for games lost football.

and a % of wins to measure wins and handicapping ability.

other wise the measurement will never be accurate, its like the bowl championship series, a bunch of bull shit.

but you know what guys, to each his own. hope we all cash in regardless of winning %, money wagered or whatever. lets bring vegas to their knees for once as a whole.:drink:

MFG's 1st quarter bets have been good for a few years. Whether or not you agree with Acex2 he will thoroughly explain his reasoning behind his picks which for me is always important (even though I'm one of the most notorious ones who doesn't post the why's).

I believe no one should have to explain their plays, unless you owe it to them.

bet the way you want, i just look at certain things to measure a good capper;
bottom line, %, and the amount of money one bets to how much he actually wins:toast:

l didn't join til a few weeks ago, but watched you all of last year, you had some pretty impressive weeks/season.

you will never get noticed, 2 reasons; you don't have a big mouth, and you have english skills above a 3rd grade level.

love your work, keep posting,

Sports,
Not disagreeing with you, but MFG would be one of my examples of posters to be careful of. Nothing against MFG, who does a sterling job on here, only its not always easy to track him, especially with his Qtr, Half posting.
