Being from Chicago, why would you think that? There has never been any talk about him. He has stood out as one of the players least likely to take them. Body hasn't really changed, still looks like a football player.

This is the most outrageous comment I've read regarding steroids.
Thomas in '93 was the first player in the league to speak out against steroids. The commissioners office said that there were too many financial issues to deal with to inflict a drug testing policy. Thomas didn't like that his numbers were tainted. Him and Griffey both spoke out multiple times against steroids.
Thomas was the only player that wasn't involved in steroids that spoke with Mitchell because he wants to call out all the people that tainted the unreal numbers that he put up.
Thomas was the best pure hitter of his era, and did it honestly. The facts back it up. Come on I've been patrolling these boards long enough and you are way smarter than this G-Money.
Why would have to only have used performance enhancing drugs in the 80's or 90's? Guy went belly up financially (a divorce and stupid business decisions will do that) and needed to continue to show good numbers to get paid. He could have started 2 or 3 years ago until today. His biggest problems are with his feet. Maybe cuz he too big for his god given frame. I'm just throwing that out there. It's been some time since he played the field on a daily basis. Guy hasn't been able to simply DH for a season in many years without coming up lame. It's not like he's stealing 2nd base out there.
That's what being 6'5 275 and 40 years old will do to you. Especially after playing football, including in college, and baseball your whole life. Your buddy falls apart when you get to be so big.
I'm guessing you're a Cub fan who can't face the harsh reality that Sosa was never as good as Frank, and he cheated, and he hates the organization. While Frank never cheated and was one of the best players in the game so you were hoping he would get outed, so you could rip all your Sox buddies who ripped Sosa?
