Just put it this way, if the payback for a video poker was ever 50%, the game wouldn't last a week. That is simple reality, people may be suckers, but they have to get a payback that makes them able to play at least a little while. Lotto can get away with that payback because the draw is infrequent and the prizes are gigantic. You can't pay a huge jackpot for a legit video poker game, nor do you get people playing a game or two just twice a week.
