50-55, just did mine and it was 54.

Its been 50-55 for a long time...occasionally though, I will check it at night and it will be in the high 40's which actually for some reason scares me...I wonder what makes it drop down that low....

I have no idea and I would probably be in better shape if I took more time to know these things.

How is this measured? Is it simply counting your heartbeats in one minute?

When I go to the doctor's office, the nurse always takes it over again.

Mine is well over 90. Sometimes its 110-120. My doc has me on Toprol XL (beta blocker) to slow it down. I'm in horrible shape. I'm afraid if i dont start to get right, i'll never see 40. I'll be 36 on 9/11 and i'm very scared. I've let myself go so bad i'm starting to get depressed and may even be having panic attacks of some kind. I'm half drunk right now, thats why i have the courage to say this stuff. I'm drinking way too much and my diet is absolutly the worst. I'm making a note to myself to check this thread tomorrow and maybe i'll elaberate more on my all of of sudden decline in health. Sorry to ramble but im feeling really shitty about things tonight and just felt like venting.

JM,

Yes. I am a runner. I run every day.

I met luap at the Bash. He seems to be in pretty good shape.

How were things at the Golden Nugget on Sunday, luap?

sorry to hear that buddy, but you have to start somewhere, and sometimes puting things down on paper is a start...

if you care to elaborate further , perhaps we could give you some good suggestions.:103631605

QL,

Things were kind of quiet as most of the Rxers were heading out.

However, it was sure hot in the morning. I ran at 8:30AM at the UNLV track and it was already 90 degrees!

Thanks for sharing all the photos you took at the Bash.

Sorry to ramble the other night about my poor health. Maybe i'm not a gonner just yet. Just got back from the doc, and he says my heart rate is back down to normal and my blood pressure is way down thanks to meds. I feel so relieved that my heart rate is back down to normal. My doc had me pretty upset because HE was so concerned. He said a continuous pulse of over 100 could be very dangerous, and was afraid medicine would not take of the problem if there was an underlining disease process going on. Such as an enlarged heart, heart disease, or even some kinds of cancer can cause evalvated pulse. But, with the meds bringing it and my blood pressure down so drastically, he feels its just due to the fact im overweight, and extremly out of shape. O by the way my BP was a crazy high 199/140 when he put me on meds. Now its 130/88. Still a bit high, but not life threatning like before. Now if i can just figure out whats causing my near constant muscle twitching i'll be feeling good about things. Docs not real worried about the twitching yet. He says lets get your BP and pulse right and then go from there. Well thanks for listning.

Mine hit 156 on the bike today that is still in my target range, but I should be in the 130's

That really concerns me. I only had it set on 4

I need to 'eat cleaner'

I have no idea what my resting is.
