Hard to top some of these but about 5 years ago when I could've really used the money, I played a horse 50WP at about 10-1. He won and I was thrilled. Go to collect and the guy had put the wrong track. I have never not looked at a ticket since. It was brutal. Went to him and told he needed to pay more attention, and that he had screwed me....Meanwhile the horse he put me on was the favorite and finished 3rd at another track, which means I lost the 100 on top of getting it in the butt on the other end. Tough to rebound from.
