What hotel is better in Vegas

There's not too many big hotels that you can go wrong with. They all have the big screens and plenty of betting windows. I like to stay off the strip, so Sam's Town is my home away from home. Brand new sports book that will rival anything on the strip. TV's in front of each seat.

What do you need something like this in Vegas,..if your some CEO of a big company and are entertaining clients then ok,..but if your there to gamble and hit some clubs with a few buddies,then this is a waste of money,..how much time do you really spend in your room in Vegas,if other than to sleep a couple hours,then your wasting your time,...sleep is at a minimum in Las Vegas,have a good time and sleep when you return home

Wynn and Encore are the same. I've stayed at both. They are very nice. I enjoy the atmosphere of the Wynn better than Necore. Encore is pretty stuffy. Mandalay isnt even close to as nice as the other two

I agree with Keyman, just a decent bed, working A/C and you're good to go. I prefer downtown like G/ N or Freemont, but MGM is excellent if you don't mind being at the South end of the strip, awesome pool but the place is huge,over 5,000 rooms, but high quality. Nothing wrong with Mirage either. Avoid the dumpiest places like Imperial Palace, Excalibur,Circus circus, Golden gate ( unless you like a 110 year old room with non functional AC). I recommend not renting a car unless you're planning to go to mount Charleston, Lake Meade, Laughlin,etc. It's easy to get anywhere on the strip or downtown with the local CAT bus, they run like every 15 minutes or something like that and 24/7 for like $2 or so, no worries about parking fees. Just find a good deal on a room and check out the reputation of the place and you're set

I agree with Keyman, just a decent bed, working A/C and you're good to go. I prefer downtown like G/ N or Freemont, but MGM is excellent if you don't mind being at the South end of the strip, awesome pool but the place is huge,over 5,000 rooms, but high quality. Nothing wrong with Mirage either. Avoid the dumpiest places like Imperial Palace, Excalibur,Circus circus, Golden gate ( unless you like a 110 year old room with non functional AC). I haven't been to Vegas in a good 5 years, no reason to go there, BJ has lost all value there. One year the RX bash was held at IP, it was about the crappiest hotel I ever stayed at in my life

What is there now ? Location was great, and it was free, so I can't complain too much. That land has to be worth a fortune.

They had the hottest cocktail waitresses mid-Strip about 15-20 years ago.

When Venetian and Mandalay Bay (not mid-Strip) opened they gave IP a run for their money. But I would still give IP the edge.

I don't especially recall them but plenty of Vegas hotels have super hot serving wenches. I'd quite a few of them bring home more than a RN makes with no education, just good looks especially at the most premium strip places. I never spent a ton of time at IP, when I was a local I tended to go to the Horseshoe, Mint, El Cortez, Western, Nevada hotel, Golden Gate type of places, and later Arizona Charlie's when I moved out to that area and it was an easy walk to get there, the majority of my time there I lived near Eastern & Washington, but also Henderson and that lovely are between 15th and Eastern on Fremont Street.

Doug, you lived in what i call gritty areas there in Vegas. Sure you have some story's. When i lived in Vegas in the 90's knew some cocktail servers at the good casinos to work and were pulling down 80k a year. Nice gig if you can get it. Valet parkers did real well then too.

The Western was my favorite back then. i voted the place where you are most likely to be sitting next to a wanted or convicted felon. Great crowd there. Always interesting.

Yeah, I didn't quite live in Summerlin, or Boulder City not quite Northtown bad, but Lower Fremont area was certainly ghetto.Henderson was pretty tame, didn't stay on Fremont long.started in Henderson with friends from College that moved there, but that house was overcrowded, up and down Fremont for awhile, exactly 5 years near Eastern & Washington ( that was OK), had to give up my rental room there, my landlord and great friend needed the room back since he was getting married, great deal at $250/month then on,to Charleston & Decatur area for about a year, not a bad area at all, then back to CT, I'm ready to move on, no longer have to care for elderly mother, now divorced, nothing holding me here except owning a house and just general stuff and a destination in mind, I could afford.
