Gamblor and Cheater 100% agree. I think the forum would be better if people didn't post their YTD stats. That way posts would be read on merit without the influence of these numbers.

Somebody with a 0-5 stat could be posting more sense than somebody with a 5-0 stat but because of that they are looked on differently.

LOL......I was thinking earlier today how long it would take for this thread to show back up after I saw those up above again.......

I must also say that I understand what Pat is trying to do here is to be helpful, but in this case, I just don't think it's going to work.........

Wow. That was an awful lot of wind expended to whine about something as trivial as the layout of a message board. Jesus.

I, for one, think locking them at the top is a great idea, but perhaps this place would be better served if the discussions were kept in a separate forum from the 'look who I'm betting on' threads. Discussions on specific games yield far greater info and insight than any of those 'attention whoring' threads. Reasons which were, I thought, the principle motivators for visiting.

i think the threads locked at the top would be sweet if they were strictly packed with stats, systems, facts and pertinent information in deciding a choice on a side or total in that particular game.
instead we get opinions, ideas, arguments and up and back banter that serves little purpose.
FACTUAL INFORMATION..GREAT.
OPINIONS.....NOT NECCESARY.

I like it a lot from an organizational standpoint. If I am looking to bet San diego Detroit for example, i want to go to a locked thread and see what kind of feedback there was on this game in order to either bolster or diminish my opinion. I simply want to easily extract the info. Can someone tell me how i can get the info easier than that?

I like it a lot also. You don't have to sift through a bunch of BS from people who just post picks and no analysis. It's a great source of information.

So far I haven't seen any reason for not having it this way. All I've seen is "because it sucks." Well, why does it suck????? Why wouldn't you want to talk about the games in this format????? Maybe some of you are here for other reasons but I am here to make money and get information about the games. This is the quickest way to do it.

Whatever happens, definitely leave them in bold so us who really do want to talk about the games can find them easily. Afterall isn't that what this site is for.

FOR THOSE WHO DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE NFL.....GO TO THE RUBBER ROOM AND YOU CAN HAVE ANY OTHER CONVERSATIONS YOU WANT THERE.....AFTERALL, THIS IS THE NFL & CFL BOARD!

It's a good idea, not having to sort through fifty POW, POY or POW and all the assorted crap that goes with it helps some of us, I think some just like seeing there name at the top everyday.

Not to put the other moderators on the spot, but obviously they do not agree with the layout & have tried to make others who have complained happy since they have "unlocked" the threads a few times while Pat was away.

Having the matchup threads at the top isn't a bad idea. I've had & seen some good info slip through the shuffle with out much notice.
Having an open exchange of info on particular games not only helps consolidate the info available, but would encourage posters and lookers to share more infomation and insight. I know there are many quality cappers out there that would be more inclined to contribute with a more organized formate.
Keeping it at the top is one way to make these matchups & opinions easy to find.

why are these threads bad? This is the best way to gain information.

I have to agree with panther on this one. I like how there is a thread for each game but they shouldn't be locked in at the top of the category. The newer postings should be at the top just like the other forums. Now, if someone adds to those individual game threads, then it's fine that they are at the top but no threads should be locked in at the top.
