Cost of living here with luxuries is getting expensive but without those luxuries you can live pretty well off for $1000 /month.
Luxuries I refer to are eating out almost daily, at restaurants in Escazu and Santa Ana.
Having a car is expensive, insurance is retarded and gas, well it's not cheap.
If you get health insurance that's just something else to add to the list.
All those little things add up quick since they all have relatively similar cost to the states however if you can get by without them then your set and your cost of living will drop significantly.
Shop at Perimercados, Hipermas and Pali to save money on groceries.
Stay away from getting your haircut at the mall, find some colombian outfit that will cut ur hair for 2 rojitos.
Oh and ofcourse frequent trips to the DelRey can quickly dimish your cash!

You are talkin about Canada right..? I get grilled pretty much everytime i come back thru customs/immigration. I hate paying taxes. I dont believe i shuold be paying for some dip shits welfare, or some lazy guy who wont work collecting EI. You can't even smoke OUTSIDE a stadium here anymore. You have to be 20 metres away from the building. They search you when you go in, and if you have smokes they confiscate it just like drugs & booze.
Fucking pathetic no? Plus the fact that everyone here seems to believe they are entitled to something or deserve something?? Only god knows why...
