lots of problems but the biggest one I see daily is the "entitlement" that everyone has for themselves. They expect something for nothing... respect, promotions, money, etc. No work ethic, just lazyness and expecting it all to be done for or given to them

In the meantime this country sinks deeper and deeper into debt.

Too many "victims" and not enough players.

New World Order, the Fed, the distraction of the masses on purpose by the media in general, brainwashed millennials who think the most important think is being famous, bipartisan failure, but most important of all, the death of rocknroll.

the biggest problem we have is allowing anyone over the age of 18 to vote. By doing so only people that are effective persuaders are elected to positions of power, instead of the most qualified.

only people that have proven they understand what individual sacrifice means should be allowed to vote. That means anyone that has put their life on the line to protect the community. Military Veterans, Retired Police or Firemen and so on. These people are more apt to elect people based on that persons ability than what that person can do for them with entitlements and handouts.

effective persuaders know how to get elected. that's why they push the "everyone should vote" and "rock the vote" and other bullshit. If you are dumb enough to fall for a 30 second commercial then you are absolutely dumb enough to fall for any crap that they can dish out.

step one is to get dumb-asses registered to vote,
step two, get them to like you
step three, get them to actually vote

it's just a matter of time before the porn star kim kardashian is elected to some office

technology
+1

2 things for me that I have seen where technology has hurt this country. First, it is making our country lazy, especially the younger generation. Why learn anything in school when you can just google it?

Secondly, and I have seen this first hand, is it has hurt employment in manufacturing. Sure, it's great for businesses who can purchase automated equipment to do the work of 2 or 3 people. That's a great savings bottom line for them. But, it's the main reason manufacturing jobs are scarce now a days. I've been in manufacturing for 28 years in the same job but with 3 different companies(Pfizer, Danisco and now DuPont)because of sales. I moved to the plant I work at now 24 years ago and at the time we had 3 reactors, 1 production building, and made about 30 million pounds of our product a year. We had about 110 employees at the time. Today, we have 5 reactors, 3 production buildings and make about 60 million pounds of product a year. We have 80 employees at our plant now. We have doubled production, yet decreased the workforce by over 25%. All because of technology.

Too much government is a huge problem, but that is just a symptom.

Generally speaking, ignorance. We now have 2 full generations of Americans that have been pushed through our education system who have no understanding at all of science, history, or economics. The three pillars of any robust education have been completely watered down or eliminated in any meaningful sense. The outcome of this is that we have a tens of millions of adults walking around who believe in dumb slogans (unemployment benefits create jobs! Climate change! tax cuts for the rich!! Wall Street fat cats!!) and who literally have no clue how the real world works.

I would argue this outcome is part of a deliberate strategy, but that is a topic for another time. Sadly, this trend is now institutionalized and irreversible. America is well on her way to permanent decline and can not be turned around. The fall won't take place as quickly as something that happened with the Communist countries in Eastern Europe. Rather, it will be a long term stagnation followed by deep declines in our standards of living and then armed conflict to resolve differences.

Enjoy the ride. It is going to pretty much suck.

I agree with most of this. The government controlled public education system in this country is a complete joke. The bigger problem is that our whole federal government is broken. The reason corrupt whores like the current administration can get elected into office, is because the party that gives away the most free shit is the one that gets elected, and we end up with a country full of leeches and cockroaches living off the people that actually work for a living. It's not sustainable.

I fully agree with all the comments on problems with the “entitlements".

Also...... notice that any time something can be spun to supposedly involve a "minority"........ minorities (any of them....largely now gays) never want to be "EQUAL"...... they want to be given an edge. A way to get the job, or the access, or whatever it is that they desire at that time. Want to really have priority over everyone else.

Lack of self responsibility:

Break into a person's home and break leg falling down the stairs: Sue

Talking on your cell phone and cause a three-car pileup: Someone made me do it

Lose a large bet on Wisconsin/UK: I made the pick using the RX College Basketball forum

It's always someone's fault other than your own.

i'm going to say that one of the biggest problems IMO is the two party political system we have and its ability to be controlled by small, loud special interests

I think things are often exaggerated, and things are never even close to being as bad as people think they are. There's not a better time in the history of man than today to be alive, and tomorrow our lives will be longer, more comfortable, and even better.
