I'm thinking the new signup requirements asking for more personal info is scaring people away. Only one's seeing it are BAS and myself. Apparently there is a lack of trust in those in charge. That would be sad if true.

Saturday morning one hour before kick for college and one hour before kick for the NFL.

Don't see any reason why not.

80% of your Avg. Poster on All Forums are a $10 Bettor, and I'm probably being nice on that %
some probably can't come up with $150 all at once... JMO because this Contest is a No Brainer for Anyone that gambles on Football

Bingo!!!

hell, look at the college contest...I can't believe the guys who won't enter that one for $75. I was going to sponsor a $500 to win for selected posters...now I'm not. I'd enter for $75 bucks just to let my mother make the picks. Unbelievable as BAS pointed out.

Voted 3:00 PM. We should be mirroring the Hilton Contest in every way possible. And copying the Real Hilton leader picks is just wrong. We should never have a deadline that would allow that to happen.

Where's 2pm? Lol.....

Why not use the exact same deadline as the Las Vegas contest?

If someone who puts up $1500 can meet a deadline, can't see why $150 players in the RX contest can't
meet the same deadline.

Well that might be... or maybe the change in how we set it up. Meaning in past years I ask to post if you are in, then made a list and marked people Paid.

Either way, doesn't matter... It's the best way to make sure who paid. and will make it easier to pay out. It also doesn't make my inbox filled

Carry on...

If we use the same deadline as the Vegas contest I will offer a $350 bonus. If the RX Winner beats the Vegas winner (percentage) I will send our guy a $350 bonus check...guaranteed!!!

I see no reason our RX guys can't compete with the big money boys.

Cheaters will cheat, don't give them the opportunity

Having said that, I believe most of the contestants are stand up guys

i don't think copying plays is cheating. everyone has the opportunity to do so and it was apart of the rules.i didn't do it nor did i think of that. but i wouldn't be mad if someone blindly followed some guy that i feel i should beat anyway

Thats really MY point too, put into words I've been unable to find so Thank You. :toast:

If guys blindly tail another guy, whatever guy, Phil Steele, some SuperContest entrant, Chris "The Swami" Berman the guys who get mad about this seem to me to be saying: "No way I can beat that guy if he's just copying that other guy" and I am like WTF IS THAT?

Myself and others try to "Follow The Money" sometimes, bet based on the line.

Thats why my Sunday Morning plays are very of ten TOTALLY different than what I'll use in contest.

How would Following the money (or fading Joe Public) be ANY different than "copying another guy"????

Who amongst us would not have "copied that guy" Billy Walters back in the '80's?

Reducing the Deadline, potentially lessening the Prize Pool so winners getting less $$$ than they otherwise would have, giving guys less time to study the Line, check for injuries, making some guys unable to enter the contest that would have...all this over a few guys "copying some guy" seems ridiculous to me.

BUT I do understand those who support early Deadline to have it be more a "Pure Handicapping Contest". I totally get where they are coming from. Either way it goes is fine with me just want guys to understand the choices, potentially lower $$$ for winners with early Deadline cuz maybe less guys enter. Thats all. :toast:

sure everyone has a different schedule and limited time they can spend to cap the games but I think it should be 2 so voted 3

this isn't fantasy sports were you can put picks in at 12:59 on Sunday after watching ESPN all morning

if you really wanted a later Sunday time you would need to go with closing lines not stale ones from Wed

The availability of plays are there for everyone on Sunday just as they are Saturday. Nobody has an advantage. No reason to have a Friday deadline when the games don't kick until Saturday and Sunday.
