If you really want to make America a better place and you don't agree with W's proactive approach to the terrorists, leave this great country.
There are many other countries for you to live in.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd much preefer to stay a resident here and simply help change the leadership of our country.

Ignore all ARABS in the United States and view them as evil people that are liars, cheats, terrorists, and really as a whole are a useless breed of people that are really whacked out.

I REPLIED: I'd much preefer to stay a resident here and simply help change the leadership of our country.

RSB then said: Yes Barman we were so much safer with Clinton in office.

BAR: I don't know about you, but I've never felt 'unsafe' due to either Clinton or Bush being in office. I don't rely on the President for my sense of well-being.

Do you? If so, why?

I place quite a bit of blame on Clinton for his 8 years of handling of the Iraq situation and of the Taliban.
I don't beleive he took a very tough stance with either situation. Lobbing a couple of cruise missles doesn't mean he followed through with any serious commitment.
I'm not saying he could have stopped the 9/11 incident, but the US have some enemies in Iraq and the Taliban, not to mention they are dangerous to the free world, and I don't beleive he followed through on these issues to eliminate the dangers. Which left us very vulnerable to them.

So you're saying you do feel 'unsafe' due to the action(s) of President Clinton.

So in more direct response to your earlier sarcastic comment, "We were so much safer under Pres Clinton", I understand where you're coming from.

I would simply restate that on our end, we've never felt 'unsafe' under either President Clinton or under Bush.

I have, however, felt threatened in different ways during the past 11 years about the loss of many civil liberties that I took for granted prior to 1992 and more notably 12/18/00 (when GWB was appointed).

Returning us to the theme of this Thread Topic, I would invite others to join us in not being afraid of other people harming us, and in return agreeing not to harm others. In that manner, the average civilian can make the USA, and the world a better place.

There is nothing wrong with being passive or non violent. That is as long as your enemies are the same, or you will end up as a dead passive or dead non violent person.

Well first off, it helps to not have enemies, so I do not.

As for being non-violent, yes, I am, but that does not preclude me from self-defense and self-preservation in the unlikely event I am confronted with someone who doesn't get it.

Getting back to the original question posed...

1...Personal Responsibility...
2...My rights end where another person's begins
3...Watch your honesty and your credit
4...When you drive turn right on red, instead of waiting for the fourth color on the streetlight.....use those turning lanes instead of the one you're on....leave the goddamn cell phone at home....basically use the road so someone else can use the road, too...

As far as the government....

5...Dump all this foreign aid to other nations, then you won't have to talk about budget cuts and Americans losing jobs because there isn't like 6 billion dollars for Israel and money for American jobs that need a few million...

6...Dump welfare, nuff said.

7...Put congress on social security instead of that cushy retirement plan where they draw 100% of thier salary upon retirement after needing to only complete one term.....Yeah, I know they gotta eat, too, but $15,000 a month? Either that or raise the retirement age of congress so that you have to be Strom Thurmund's age to collect.....Yes, you will live to be 140 also...

8...Outlaw negative campaigning.....politicians should have the balls to say what they're going to do instead of harping on what thier opponent did or whether or not they dodged fighting in a war....when we need Rambo then fill out an application and list your abilities with martial arts and the use of a knife....until then I'm looking for a BUSINESSMAN who can run a country. I'm not looking for a mercenary soldier.....

That would be a good start...

Make every child live outside the States for at least 1 year in a country of their choice. A global child swap.

If someone could just figure out how to make tornados avoid trailor parks... the US would be such a better place.
