<HR style="COLOR: #fdde82" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->I made 75 dimes at the oldAtlantis in A.C. years ago and I doubled down on 12 at least a dozen times and won on 10 of 12. I double down on 12 if a dealer has a 3, 4, or 5, not on a 6 cause of that ******* ace that gives 17.

Sorry.. to answer your question, yes thats what COOLERS are.
Thanks. We only averaged 50-100 per hand and didn't think the casino would care that we were winning. The player was probably just some random guy betting $200 or more per hand without knowing basic strategy. That is why we left, it was just plain odd to see someone play so poorly at bets that size all while demonstarting some knowledge of the game while chatting with us.

We'll never know if he was a "cooler" or not but suffice to say, he changed the vibe of the game AND we started losing so the casino in question didn't have another shot at us that night.

If you're not counting, you hit a 12 vs a 2,3,7,8,9,10 or A. V. 4-6, you stand.

If you are counting, your stand versus a 3 at +2, and vs. 2 at +5 (using AOII... it's been awhile though).

If you're playing BJ in a casino and you're not counting, you really need to ask yourself what you're doing there.
