Not piling on LA, but refs were all for them versus Portland in Gm-7 in '00(Sheed gets revenge?)..then were all for them versus Sacto in '02.

The Lakers management is arrogant, they've surrounded their two superstars with junk for their whole run, if they did even a half@ss job the last five years of putting "average" talent around them, instead of the has-beens and the mutts..they'd cakewalk.

If a team has Shaq and Kobe, you only use your draft picks to package them together in trades for existing NBA players that "can hold their own" instead of the unreliable filler they've counted on then & now.

I use to like watching Malone playing for Utah, but in a Lakers jersey he makes me sick....actually looks like a fool....rich fool by the way.

I have to wonder how anyone thinks the Lakers will work harder than the Pistons. They might work harder than they have so far, but I just can't see the Pistons getting outworked. They are the NBA version of the Kentucky Wildcats. It isn't endless pressing, but it sure is 48 minutes of hell. No easy baskets, no easy dribbles or passes, and no easy rebounds. You work for everything and the moment you let down your guard for a second they have stolen the ball. Just imagine if they could shoot straight as they really let the Lakers stay in the game far too long with all those missed layups in the 2nd quarter. And while the bench is better than the Lakers, I don't think it is all that. They still clearly step down a notch when Big Ben isn't crashing the boards and blocking shots or they don't have Tayshaun's all-around game out there. I think it will be interesting to see if Larry leaves the starters in there more in Game 4. In his mind that just might be his "must win" game to get the title and he might have less patience running in his subs if the team is facing trouble.

Kobe makes everybody look worse, he sabotages every possession, he only passes after he has hogged the ball for 14 seconds of the possession, and then will pass it to a teammate with 5 seconds left on the shot clock in a bad posistion. Not only is Kobe constantly shooting bricks, but causes his teammates to do the same with his last ditch passes.

LC take the laker flag off your suv cuz the bandwagon was full after fishers 0.4. The pistons will use 15-20 fouls on shaq and they match up real good at the other four spots. Brown won't be outcoached like flip was,Wallaces won't be fazed by mailmans dirty play and kobe will be exhausted trying to guard rip h

Horseshoe,

Texas A@M +260 is battle tested, and I think perhaps better than LSU, this LSU team does not impress me, and they LACK the SOCAL connection that PAST Tiger teams have had.

Florida +280 is live dog also, as Cains dont have Grade A pitching, and Gators can hit and played Cains tough already this yr.

Tulane +320 may be a sleeper, and Green wave can hit and then some, Titans were 15-16 before getting Phat on the UC Riversides, and Northridges. Justin Windsor is tough, but Titans hitting can be spotty.

Arizona +340

Arizona has the BEST bats in the NAtion, but cant pitch a Lick, and could be 1-2 barbecue after facing Ramos-Weaver, but if they can STEAL 1 of the first 2, they become very LIVE in game 3.

Glad to see you think that way, as I mentioned in a past thread that all four of the ones you've mentioned were live dogs, plus a few more.

But do think LSU & Miami survive, as they are too balanced & en fuego. Yet agree with you that LBS & CSF until catching fire were not worthy of these prices.

If you cash just one of these four as dogs, 'twas a free swing, catch two..sweet!

Vandy has great starters and may be able to force a 3rd?..also GT always chokes in the end?

***NO! i am a titan - i admit it. right now we are one of the hottest teams in the nation and your argument that we got phat on softies carrie sno weight. our non-conf sked was #3 in SOS and #7 overall. that is not playing softies. as windsor's first name is...Jason and he is a stud. i do worry about his arm since the brain surgeon coach and pitching coach let him toss a 121 pitch CG friday vs. minny then brought him back less than 48 hours later to face pepperidge farm in the title game of the regional and tossed him 6 innings and 61 pitches - even though the game was a blowout. fullerton WILL win this series. tulane is a nice price - but for a reason. Titans in 2

Winky, I would expect CSF to advance, but don't be surprised if it takes a 3rd?

LSU got swept 3 games at home by Arkansas, and no pitcher drafted until round 33, 80% of roster from Louisiana, Im on TAM double pop.

Winky is probably right about his Titans, BUT his Lakers are going to be biting the DUST in 5.

All the SEC teams have average staffs this year, with Vandy's ace as the only great arm this year.

LSU may be the hottest team in the SEC right now, and that sweep by Ark, I believe was one of the few series they've lost this year?

ATM took flight about 5 weeks ago, and have rode their aces and hitting from the middle of the pack in the Big-12 to a strong finish.

LSU plays in the most intimidating college baseball environs in the country, but certainly haven't been themselves the last few years in Baseball.

And unless adjusted on air, LSU and Miami are a bit cheaper today than Wednesday?

P.S. 80% of LSU's roster for their 5 baseball crowns and from their football crown this past year were in-state?..the place is loaded!

for the record - i am NOT betting the fullerton/tulane series for i am not gonna lay over $3 on a series - especially when i am not 100% familiar with the green wave. we should win the series and i expect to win the series but if we don't it won't 100% shock me.

Bet the first quarter under the total....

It's 3-0 so far and I don't think these two teams will wake up anytime soon....defense and bricks and defensive rebounds....

I think alot of people just don't comprehend this fact: The Lakers don't have much TEAM CHEMISTRY...Detroit is boiling over with it, hense the great defense...

wilhiem is right on the money. . if nothing changes, its pistons - the points.

why assume anything different. some change we should know about that accounts for 18 points in a low scoring game?!
