Cook shifts Pennsylvania Senate to ‘toss-up,’

"As further evidence of how the tight presidential contest is impacting the Senate race, Republicans point out that Casey’s latest ad touts he 'sid[ed] with Trump to end NAFTA,' suggesting that Casey’s hold on his blue-collar base may be slipping," Cook Political Report also mentioned.

With just 18 days to go before the big day, Vice President Kamala Harris is introducing Americans to a new persona of her character: Rage.

Close-up shots of her anger and body language, expressing raw hatred for former President Trump during her appearance on Bret Baier's show on Fox News, have gone viral on X and other social media outlets. These shorter clips - as opposed to the full interview that formed the basis of our editorial on Thursday - magnify the narrative that she is out of control.

Her interview with the National Association of Black Journalists was surprisingly contentious in parts. The questioners, mainly unknown outside Black media, confronted her directly on policy questions related to African Americans. Her discomfort when challenged was evident at the end of the interview when she shook hands briefly and gruffly walked away.

In a congressional race in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, Democrats have been spending the precious final days of the campaign making an urgent appeal: Do not vote for the “Democrat.”

After a dizzying sequence of events, the party has disavowed the candidate listed as its nominee for Georgia’s 11th House District: Katy L. Stamper, a lawyer who argues that the Republican incumbent is not conservative enough and has offered herself as a choice who would be.

The platform presented by Ms. Stamper, who refers to herself as an “independent candidate running on the Democratic ticket,” includes a call for the mass deportation of undocumented immigrants, whom she has described as “invading ungrateful hordes.” She wants to repeal the right to gay marriage. She supports free therapy for transgender people, but only because, as she says on her campaign website, “We should help them deal with their mental injuries without pretending reality is other than it is.”

As a result, Democrats have been scrambling to mobilize a write-in campaign, trying to direct support to another candidate — one with views that are not diametrically opposed to the party’s position on just about every issue.

Donald Trump is so exhausted that Kamala Harris is taking the day off.

TRUMP: "She's sleeping right now. She couldn't go on the trail. You'd think when you have 14 days left, you wouldn't be sleeping."

Why black men in Martin Luther King’s hometown won’t vote for Kamala Harris

Between cuts and shaves, barber Umar Thames explains that he is preparing to cast a ballot for Donald Trump for the first time.

The 48-year-old was once a supporter of Barack Obama, but says Democrats can no longer take his vote for granted.

Ms Harris, and her historic candidacy, have done little to sway him.

“She’s playing on the fact that she’s black, and we’re black,” he says of the US vice-president, accusing her of prioritising identity over policy.

....
Jimmy, a 38-year-old black man attending his first rally, said illegal immigration had disproportionately affected workers like him in the construction business.

“A lot of the things that black people have done in this country for a long time are now being done by illegal immigrants,” he said.

This dumb drunk has no campaign appearances today.

"Ms. Harris will sit for an interview with NBC and Telemundo, the latest in a wave of media appearances."

That's it.

They called in Obama to go to Wisconsin today because she's too out of it.

Hey, remember when Trump was just going to hide in the basement

Democrats brace for a possible crack in the blue wall and signs of North Carolina slipping

The “blue wall” states of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania have paved the path to the White House for the last two Democratic presidents.

But with just 14 days until the Nov. 5 election, there are concerns within Kamala Harris’ campaign about whether the vice president can claim all three states.

While North Carolina is still in the campaign’s sights and Democrats maintain strong organization and leadership there, the Harris team is far less bullish about victory, four people with knowledge of the dynamics said.

“Of all of the seven [states], that one seems to be a little bit slipping away,” the Harris campaign official said of North Carolina.

Never forget: Red wave of 2022!!!!!!!

"To proponents of what might be called the 'Red Wave Theory' of polling, this was a blatant example of a phenomenon that they see as widespread: A flood of GOP-aligned polls has been released for the precise purpose of influencing the polling averages, and thus the election forecasts, in Trump’s favor," the report states. "In the view of these critics, the Quantus example (the firm subsequently denied any such intent) only made all this more overt: Dozens of such polls have been released since then, and they are in no small part responsible for tipping the averages—and the forecasts—toward Trump."
The report further points to Democratic strategist Simon Rosenberg and data analyst Tom Bonier, who "were skeptical of such predictions in 2022 and ultimately proved correct," and their warnings "that all this is happening again."
