It wasn’t just Sweeney. Durr’s Assembly running mates, Bethanne McCarthy Patrick and Beth Sawyer, appeared on track to defeat incumbents John Burzichelli and Adam Taliaferro (both D-Gloucester). Democrats will see their majorities shrink in both chambers of the state Legislature. And Murphy, despite claiming victory, appears to have significantly underperformed his own campaign’s expectations.

Some more good midterm news for ya grunge .This time courtesy of an ABC Washington Compost poll.
According to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll, 51% of registered voters said they would vote for the Republican candidate in their congressional district in midterm elections if they were held today, and just 41% said they would vote for the Democratic candidate. This is the GOP's largest lead since the poll began in 1981.
