Rory down three and fights back. A sublime back nine. How about that 3 wood on the par 5 10th? 283 yds to 7 feet- eagle. WOW. 11, 12 and 13 his birdie puts were 10, 7 and 9 feet respectively- firing darts!! The par 4 16th 505 yds? how about his tee shot? NAILED his driver 331yds, right over the trees

felt bad for Phil, but Rory would not be denied.

said it before, he's the best driver of the ball since Norman. Greg would move the ball a lot more off the tee- this kid just hits a high long draw ,

I like Rory and I like David Feherty, but the love fest Feherty showed Rory yesterday was annoying as hell. Seemed like every shot Rory stood over had the potential to be the greatest shot in the history of the game.

Great leaderboard and a great tournament with really quality golf. That said, the PGA officials and Rory made a mockery of 18. I can maybe understand the decision to allow Rory and Wiesberger to play their tee shots up with Mickelson and Fowler but there is absolutely no way they should have been allowed to play their second shots before Mickelson and Fowler finished the hole.

They are to shoot in darkness? come back Monday to finish the hole? Thankfully the PGA tour officials have some common sense and made the right call letting Wiesberger and Rory play their seconds.

Phil after the round: "It's like a courtesy thing among players,in case they blow the horn (signaling that only those who have hit tee shots can finish that hole before play is stopped). It gave everybody a chance to finish. It was great everyone had a chance to finish just in the nick of time. It's not a big deal either way."

and kudos to Rory for acknowledging Phil and Ricky in his Championship speech: "I want to thank Phil and Rickie for letting us play up. It showed a lot of sportsmanship and class from those guys."
