Checked out the firs episode of Westworld. Interesting concept but no so original. THis concept has been around for a while in books and foreign films. This is like a broder version of Hostel those movies that investigates robot conscience/feelings etc. First episode didn't really captivate me but hopefully it gets better. I love Anthony Hopkins so i hope it gets better.

For you young guys out there ... West World the Movie was Far Far ahead of it's time. Now jump ahead 40+ years later ... and I'm not a fan of taking an old Movie or TV show and re-booting it. But this show is pretty Good.
and it's only the first one thus far.
If they stay on course .... I think this is going to be a Great show.

The basic concept of the original Westworld movie is very similar to the HBO show, but the execution is vastly different. One thing I did appreciate about the original is that they showed the viewers more of what the "park" was like when working according to plan, so it wasn't dark from the beginning as the HBO version has been. But it's been interesting and has a lot of potential.
