Brock, I think some states REQUIRE WU to ask for ID no matter the transaction amount. When I made my first WU withdrawal, the book already informed me via email immediately that my state (VA) would require ID even before I went to pick the w/d up. Just letting you know.

P.S. My first WU transaction was only a $950 withdrawal, too.

On a pick-up everyone needs ID unless the book waives and even then the check cashing place are idiots and will still ask.

which is why you get a check fedexed to you.....then simply take it into your bank and cash it (or deposit it if you're not worried about a paper trail). I've cashed 20 checks at least at boa - some very large - will no problems. occasionaly they call the manager over. it prob helps that I keep a large balance that is more than enough to cover the check and am a longtime customer.
