Watching the CO/UCLA game...
I didn't know this but John Fafaul, the Bruin QB has thrown
9 picks so far this season. Figuring that Rosen has started
most of UCLA's games, that's a heap of picks in very little
playing time. I know the kid can move with his feet but 3
or 4 picks per game will not get him many wins. He reminds
me of Derek Anderson of the Beavers... back when he was
their starter, he was known as an interception machine.
OK I'll bite.
Oregon +17/USC
The line doesn't seem to be holding up as I thought. So I'll just hit it now. This week has
been going weirdly as I thought it might but sometimes I don't believe my own eyes. All
the home chalk has been having issues with the exception of WSU but they seem to have
flipped their play from somewhat marginal over the last 3 weeks to dominant at home as
many may have figured. Even the Beavers have been holding up vs. the trees however
they tend to do much better at home. I gave all of this weirdness some serious thought
this past week but it seemed to overload my senses. Too bad I didn't just accept it.
Thus the Ducks. After all that's happened today, maybe USC will have a little more than it can
easily deal with. It seems plausible because lately the Ducks seem to have awakened. That's
an uptick and you know how much I like those.
I'm thinking the same thing. But have you noticed that CAL has a couple of badass running backs (which they traditionally do)... a kid named Mohammad and another guy. They rushed for 100+ yards apiece last week. I also think TE Chad Hanson (#1 receiver in the FBS) will play healthy this week. And Davis Webb, well Webb is Webb. I say 80 points AT LEAST
CAL/Udub O77½
Has anyone else noticed that the Dawgs seem to let up a little when they travel?
(Like @Arizona or @Utah?) They can tough out a win but not with the panache
they show at home. Cal ain't no place to mess around like that. Sure the CAL
bears have a defense that resembles a sieve, but they can score a bunch to make
up for it, ESPECIALLY when they play big games like this at home. The 12th man
isn't so easy to defend.
A whole lotta points too since the opener.
CAL +20/UDub
Wonder what UW will be laying to USC on Sat. Am I crazy for thinking anything under 14 is auto play on Uw?
I had huskies pegged as being legit title threats next season. Peterson and staff effect on players is amazing. They are just strong on both sides of the ball.
Usc has been great past 5 weeks since giving Darnold the offense but uw is a step up in competition for them. I just think the huskies overall play and super loud stadium will wear trojans down in 2h.
Curious what you guys who know more about PAC 12 than I do think about the game.
