I do not believe anyone with a brain will say the SEC is not the best conference in football. Andrew Luck is the real deal, but he will be in a world of hurt against LSU or Bama. Stanford has a solid line, but they would struggle against the speed and power of those teams. Actually saw where Kiper had 8 of the starting 11 on Bama's defense going in the first two rounds of the NFL draft when eligible. That is down right ridiculous. And I am not an SEC fan, but I do realize the ACC or Pac 12 or anyone else would get destroyed by the SEC in most scenarios.
But for my sake, let's keep this argument going so I can cash huge again on the BCS title game....lol.

The WAC is the C-USA/Sun Belt/MAC of the west. Or if you want to put it a different way, the WAC is the minor league of the Pac, the C-USA is the minors of the Big 12, Sun Belt is the minors of the SEC and the MAC is the minors of the Big Ten. Now, we can debate all day long on which is better between the big and little conferences, but to say West Coast = SJSU vs Hawaii is like saying southeast = Western Kentucky vs La-Lafayette.

Read the title of this thread and the first post if you want to see who's trying to make insulting generalizations smart guy. You don't mind anyone dishing it but when it comes to taking it your humor lands back in the trailer park. Typical of you to seize any opportunity to wave your SEC pom poms. You even allow a WAC/SEC comparison to slip by. Im a west coaster and we have had some great teams. All in all the SEC is the best conference in football. Does that mean LSu, bama or any of their power houses are better then USC, oregon or the Pac 10's you would have to play the games to see. All i would add is make LSU vs Oregon and Bama vs USC on a neutral field and open the lines at PK and tell me who your money is on. Mine is definitely a 2 teamer for my life savings on bama and LSU
I know some of you wannabe cappers have trouble with 1 + 1 and the only way you can cap is compare scores of other games to make your point. There are alot of scores we could post here that would validate my point the other way. Its all about matchups and timing. At the end of the year IMO Stanford was the best team in the country, sure they had one bad half in Eugene, alot of teams do, but Auburn wouldn't have wanted to have played them. Like I also posted earlier, USC would have won some SEC titles last decade, and nothing any of your teams could have done about that.

Other than one bad half in Eugene, with a top WR knocked out of the game by a questionable hit, Stanford was excellent last year. Dismissing them is nothing short of idiotic. That was a very physical football team, they can play with anyone. If you don't think a team led by Andrew Luck can beat any team in the country, then you are truly one of the dumbest people around.
Guys temper, temper. You can't judge a conference by the performance of 2 teams. LSU and Alabama are great teams, I don't think anyone is disputing that. But the rest of the SEC is not that great. There are great teams on the west coast, they dont get the pub/credit. But looking at a conference, you can look at the PAC12 and see that the PAC12 South Utah Utes, with their backup QB go on the road to Pitt, who some thought would win the Big East (a BCS conference) and they have beaten Pitt by 2TDs on the road. Does the SEC have a win like that?
