quote:
Where did I call you or any one a sheep?

2 quotes influenced that characterization. One by noital and the other by you:

quote:
It is very simple, most of the people are ill informed due to their own lack of intelligence. They believe what they want to ,not what is real. The administration's perception of reality is their reality.A very simple Orwellian concept, but effective on the weak minded.

quote:
Of the ten best educated states in U.S. nine voted for Gore. Is it any wonder Bush wants to starve the educational system of money? The guy has a vested interest in keeping the people ignorant.

I'll now attempt to clarify my thought process.

The first quote is more blatant saying that whatever Bush & co. are doing is what I can be assured of supporting. That's simple herd mentality. Your quote was a little more subtle in that you attempt to expose Bush's plan for political domination by keeping the middle America masses stupid. The proximity and tone of your post to noital's is the primary reason for my accusation. I suppose that if I lived in California or Massachusetts or Connecticut that I would have a change of heart because I would be informed. I'm sorry but my views are the same whether I'm in an educated state or simply a backwoods trailer park.

I happen to think the slaughtering governments in Africa are worse than Saddam. The world is finally waking up to the nightmare situation in the Sudan, partly in a guilty conscience from what happened in Rwanda (yes under Clinton's watch). Saddam had enemies killed, these African genocides are purely racial and religious hate. Not to mention controlled and predictable regimes are a lot easy to deal with than regimes like the Taliban who made a lot of stuff up as they went along. In any event I don't think regime change is usually a good idea. We start looking like hypocrites when we let one off the hook and go after another. Nothing looks more stupid, at least in my opinion, than having normal relations with China in the name of business and then not even allowing Americans to spend a dime in Cuba.

Incredibly hypocritical to do all that pandering to one small slice of Florida, but vote for George and he will not only continue that policy, he will even try to see to it that offenders pay 5 figure fines just to make his point of how friendly he is to those people in South Florida. Thanks again George, without you I am sure Fidel would be on the verge of invading.
