Paraguay 3:30

Rubio Nu solid midtable club and last week put up a nice fight vs the best team in the league. First match of tourney they beat Cerro Porteno who are always a top 3 team so definitely a good start to the league and today face a terrible Captiata club. Newcomers were expected to struggle but pick up some home points...in first match they lost against another newcomer and in 2nd match they were beaten by 5 at home by Nacional who are probably only 5th or 6th best team in league.

Rubio Nu -0.75 .5u to win .5u

have no choice but to back a club that is 36-5-1 in last 42 epl home matches...

hold nose and bet...

city 1u to win 1u

admit it, both game plans today were laughable from both coaches....that's not football playing w/1 center fwd each...albeit yaya's bend was brilliant but at point blank you better put it home....rumours are the wop and tevez are not seeing eye to eye again...yet who scores the clincher?....mancini is too high on his own britches...it's time to move on....you've known me to always be one of hart's biggest haters(cuz i just don't believe he has world class talent in him...solid, no doubt...world class...ehh)...he saved the wop today with that pk save....even he had to be laughing inside at mancini's critic midweek that even he is benchable....for Pantillimon????....that's a travesty of a comment on the wop's part...as terrible as we played in CL..even i admit w/o Hart we would have lost games by 5-1 scorelines...as for Chelski....paper tigers is all they will ever be...we own them as of recent history and they came to play not to lose in a big contest(sound familiar mancini?)...they can dominate the bottom of the table at 'the bridge' but their act on the road is old and tiresome....i think the whole world knew Lampard was going low left...did he really think his own teammate/Ntl keeper wouldn't know that? Rafa made the wop look smart today!! a tall order most days of the week....congrats on the title...and i am keeping my eye on van pussy in the CL to come up big...good win regardless how much you hate the blue side of the city....the green in your pockets matters more...cheers

the big surprise in lineup for me was the "other" Toure. i really don't consider him to be EPL starter talent let alone City starter talent but he did a nice job. If they come back to make a race out of this league you can circle that pk save although hart's decision on the penalty itself was really poor. between this match and the 1h city played vs leeds i'd have to say they're in some solid form...likely too far back to really challenge but fa cup is well within reach

Nice write-up with your MLS preview, rolltide. Thought you might've started a new thread for that.

The Sounders went with a complete B side tonight and earned a 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake's A side, in the preseason Desert Diamond Cup Final. Don't know if you saw that or not. Zigi started the A side in 0-0 draw with Mexican side Veracruz last night.

Can't wait for the MLS season to start!

yeah saw he prioritized the veracruz match although i don't know how much you gain from playing an Ascenso team at home with Santos match on tap in Laguna.

thought RSL dominated 1H but AG was really good in nets. Will be interesting to see what Houston, Seattle, and LA do for lineups this weekend with CCL on tap. can't believe Houston lost to Charleston with their best XI...

as far as not putting the preview in it's own thread there's a reason for it but won't go into it. Feel free to start a new thread when odds come out and I'll be happy to contribute to a MLS discussion

I saw that Houston score too. Not sure if I want to bet them now.

At least they all have a bye in week # 2 of MLS, so they will get a decent amount of rest between CCL games.

I'm a bit concerned with Seattle's 1st leg match at Tigres UANL. I just started following Liga MX and see they are at the top of the table in Clausura. Could get ugly, just like last year.

Houston will host Santos Laguna on two days rest in 1st leg. The LA Galaxy will play 1st leg at CS Herediano down in Costa Rica on three days rest.

What is your opinion on Santos Laguna and Monterrey? Are they not as dominant as in the past? Neither did well in Apertura.

Here's a link I use to follow CCL:

I see MLS Lines are out at Heritage!

i still like santos' team a lot and they're hitting form right now. monterrey are playing really poor football though. even this 3-0 win over puebla was sub-par performance. puebla had 4-5 great 1h chances then monterrey scored in 1h out of nothing and then added a pair when puebla went a man down.

i believe santos have only lost 2x since their new stadium opened so rough spot for houston. they'll definitely be there to defend but if santos have their legs next week they could put a 4 or 5 spot on them like vs seattle last year and the other team (toronto?) that got cranked down there

tigres are playing some crazy good football so cant see seattle winning that series either

mlssoccer and concacaf.com do a decent job of CCL coverage

Nice pick on the Portland vs. New York RB Over 2.5, rolltide. That one sailed over.
