I'm responding from the principles of, "The Art of the Deal." If you can't get the deal you want you must walk away. If you don't walk away you end up negotiating from a position of weakness. Trump expects that down the road he will be in more of a position of strength to get the deal he wants. And we get to watch it all unfold. Time will reveal.
I did not root for Obama to fail as a president. And I am certainly rooting for Trump to succeed as well.

Well, the ACA greatly improved our personal health care scene though we're not unaware that others disagreed.
And honestly, I probably have not given any notable attention to events in other countries for over six years now. I find our life here in Florida and other USA-based storylines sufficiently interesting that other country's stories just don't draw me.

I am admittedly easily entertained.
And I am fully informed about matters of health care in my own home and the ACA greatly improved our personal scene. If it has diminished your own then I encourage you to exert whatever you feel is needed to feel better about your scene. That's certainly how I roll and I do not begrudge you behaving likewise
