I used to use an agent that always got me lines that were for members only at several sites (not public)
if even posted on line at all. Pissed a few off. Luckily I was able to prove it.
Anyone that hangs out here 24/7 to catch every play posted when it's posted is either a moderator or they
have no life. (What's the difference?)
i used to have that job here when the shrink was around. I never paid much attention to posted lines vs.
lines that were used in posted picks (within reason) because I just figured that if a player can't make up
his own mind whether or not to play a side where the line moved, then he should probably retire to the
wheel of fortune.
But as far as whether or not the line was legitimate, then the openers are always available at the top of
the forum page. If it has moved from there, then it's probably like at least half the games on any card
in any week. Change times are generally available.
Since this isn't a contest forum, who gives a fuck anyway? How many games does the graded final fall
between the opener and the closing line anyway? VERY few. Chances are it either won or lost the same
even if there is a couple point difference.
It may be worth pointing out that a line in a pick wasn't available when posted if you can prove it, but
it's not worth giving yourself a wedgie over it. It rarely matters except when the lines are tight, then
it's like a coin flip. You probably shouldn't have played it anyway. Tight lines can kill. That's the real
problem.
I can't say what the reason is when Pete posts a play with a different line that's available at the moment,
but I've known the guy for a lot of years and I think he's a stand-up guy.
Just my 2¢
