You do realize that OU finally let the QB run last week and that opened up the attack to the tune of 500+ yds rushing. Look at post #14. You have to weed out stats and put them in perspective, something the general public does not do.

I'll never knock the Sooners Russ, but come on, Iowa State??? I think OU exacts some serious angst in this game, they've been knocked out of everything after Dec 31 imo, so it makes sense for them to bust Baylor's bubble. But everyone seems to think it's a given, and I think it's gonna be a war. If I play them, it'll be in a tease, BOL has it at -5+, and an old bookie of mine always told me you take the dog and 5 or 5+ every time. GL my friend.

There is no such thing as a given, at least for me. I take nothing for granted. But as far as Iowa St against the rush they are not that good, right now #118 in the country. But look at what Baylor rushed for against them, 244 yds and until the OU game that was the most they had given up. I think OU will rise to the occassion and I look back to last year when Baylor ran into OSU on the road and came into that game undefeated. I do think now that the coaches have given Knight the go sign as far as running is concerned that OU has a new look and one that is much more difficult to defend against. The home team is 3-0 the past 3 years. This is a circle game for the coaches and the players. This will be an all out effort. Whether that is enough we shall see. If this game was at Baylor it might be a completely different animal. This is by no means my pick of the week but I can see OU controlling this game.

As long as Brent Mushbooger isn't calling the game, I'll be on the Sooners somehow, most likely a tease as I want to get them on the plus side. If Brent is in the booth, I'm out, that SOB is the kiss of death for Norman, not to mention he is as anti-OU as I've ever seen, and I've been watchin for quite a while. GL on your action this week.

That game did not save Muschamp's job. I think it was firmly decided after the Missouri loss that he was done (it SHOULD have been decided after last year's loss to Georgia Southern). He could possibly win out and/or lose to FSU and go 7-4 or 6-5 and still not save his job. He made his bed by sticking with Driskel. Muschamp's stubborness was/is his undoing. Not many Gator fans want to see him return. But the UGA win was a big one. Many think FSU is Florida's biggest rival....but it's without a doubt UGA. Beating them, especially when they had a lot on the line is sweet. But that won't be enough to save Muschamp's job.

It's funny reading the AJC.com quotes after all of the FL/GA articles. So many fans want to run off Richt. Richt is essentially Bob Stoops without an NC. They both do just enough/win just enough that they will never lose their job.

How has this mediocre Missouri team continued to hang on? I read that if Mizzouri wins out they'll have 7 wins and those 7 teams currently have a combined SEC record of 10-29. They'll get CRUSHED in the SECCG. And on that note, how the hell did they lose to Indiana?
Coach, you know I respect your opinion, but I'd put Stoops a notch above Richt. Stoops has won I believe 8 B12 titles, 1 NC and been in 2 others I think. So he atleast has a brass ring. How many SEC titles does Richt have? Maybe 3?

With respect to Muschamp, agreed, he should have been gone last year. I think he's a good DC but not anywhere near HC material. He let 2 QB's leave and hitched his wagon to the wrong guy (Driskel) who might be the best TE on the UF roster but not a QB. I do think his players love him though because they fought really hard for him in that game. Perhaps it was them playing for their QB, but for whatever the reason, they don't seem to play hard for Driskel. I noticed this from the Tennessee game.

I think Musburger left ABC and is just doing SEC network games.

But you do know what I mean, right? SEC network is Espn is ABC, never know what those clowns might do since he's been to Norman so many times. I swear, every time he's called a Sooner game, bad things happened. Can't stand him.

That's is some funny shit there tmader7. I posted it that way to stir the pot a little and to get valuable input. And that is what I got. Thanks to all for sharing their valuable insight into this game. It should prove to be interesting. I'm going o wait before I make a play on this one.

Musburger is pretty easy to read. Whatever team he bets on is the one he gets the most excited about when they are going in for a score. There is almost never a game that he announces where he doesn't bring up the point spread at some time during the game.

Yeah, but the guy has some kind of Caribbean voodoo hex on the Sooners, I swear to God. He's probably got a Ouija board, some trolls, tooth of this, tooth of that, all in the booth when he does a Sooner game. He calls their games, I learned to stay the hell away after taking some really dumb beatings.

Funny u say that. When South Carolina played Auburn 2 weeks ago, he remarked how he has never recalled Spurrier being such a big underdog in an SEC game. He made another "pro carolina" comment later in the game

I've even heard him bring up the game total. The guy is a big time gambler that belongs on the RX board here with all of us other degenerates. I think he especially enjoys betting on the games he announces. Nothing like being there when you win/lose.

It's all the same, but I think he hung up his shoes as the play by play in these prime ABC time games with Herby and was replaced by Fowler.

I don't know GS, Fowler gets to pick and choose, I think it's in his contract. Mushbooger and Herbie get along well, God must be the only one that knows why, but I never cease to be amazed by what ABC pulls in the booth. Gonna watch this, big game, ABC may pull the stops to phuck Bob one more time.

I'm more worried about the riverboat gambler Art Briles than I am Musbooger.

Think of all the inside info he gets at the site of whatever game he is calling. I am not a big Mbooger fan.

LOL, just sayin the win/loss column with Mushbooger callin the game is probably not pretty, and I state right now, I have no clue what it is. That being said, and this isn't any big world-renown disclosure, I think they've failed to win/cover more games than losses when that turkey calls the game, LOL. That's my story and by God, I'm stickin to it.

TO's ruled the day last sat. and leading the pack was Idaho with 8. Teams with 5 TO's were W. Kentucky, E. Carolina, So. Miss and W. Virginia. No wonder they all lost huh. E. Carolina out yardaged Temple 428 to 135, go figure.
