Week 1 NFL by Raiders 53-29 RX record 2002

Buf +1

Although NE beat Buf twice last year it's very tough to sweep a division opponent in the NFL. NE ranked 21st in the NFL on offense in 2002 and I don't see any changes that make me think that they'll be better this year offensively. Buf was ranked 11 overall on offense and Bledsoe has one of the best arms in the league and a great WR in Moulds. Both teams made changes on the defense and are very strong on that side of the ball. Milloy is now on Buf and you can't help but to think that this will help somehow in this game even if it's just knowing the game plan for NE. I think that both of these teams are good. Buf opened as a 2.5 point favorite and are now getting a point at home. I'll take the Bills.

Good thoughts on that Bills game. I have gone back and forth on that one so many times so it is obviously a pass for me. I am interested to see how this one turns out. Good luck this weekend.

Black and Gold- It's funny that you mentioned that. Originally I was leaning NE when the line opened up NE +2.5. Then I kept watching the line move and started thinking Buf. The Milloy move finally made me pull the trigger. Any thoughts on the Steelers game? I like the Steelers big in this going against a rookie QB.

I have a big write-up in my thread on the Steelers game. I really like the OVER and will likely pass on the side because it sometimes hard to look objectively when wagering on your favorite team. Unlike most of the forum posters, I would side with the Steelers if I had to pick a side however.

Here's the rest of the card with some thoughts-

Pitts -4.5: Bal is playing a rookie QB in this game. At the end of the season in 2002 the way to beat Pitts was in the air. I can't see Bal doing this. Also if Pitts gets up by 10 the games over.

Hou +14: I'm playing Hou for no other reason except that I always take 14 or more.

Cinc +6: Even thoug Kitna won't be playing in Cinc for long with Palmer there I think he's very underrated.

Det -4: Ari played the preseason as though the games counted in the standings. Let's see what happens when the games count. Blake and Emmitt couldn't start for any other team in the NFL. The same goes for the Ari WR's.

GB -4.5: I don't understand why everyone's in love with Minn. They have no RB and I don't care how hard Culpepper worked in the offseason on throwing the ball away, he'll still have plenty of turnovers this year.

SD +5.5: This line opened at 3.5 and is all the way up to 5.5 with 6 probably being available later. KC can score but can they stop anyone. SD added Neal to block for Tomlinson and Boston at WR. I see this as a 3 pt game.

Atl +2: Dallas is another team that played the last preseason game as though it counted. There's not much on offense in Dallas. Johnson is underrated for Atl.

Bears +7: Tough to play the Bears with no QB, no RB and Rex Tucker out but I think 7 is too many against a SF team where Garcia can be knocked out of the game with one nice shot to the back.

Sharpier- If you are looking for a guy to fade check out this idiot Kodiak. He uses ghosts to give himself props. He also makes up lines to make himself look better. This year in baseball I watched him closely and take a look were he's at in the baseball standings in which TRK is officially keeping the record.
