Xavier -15 - I just cannot lay off fading the Johnnies. These guys sport 5 guys from 5 different countries as starters as I've mentioned previously in a write up and that causes them to not gel offensively I believe. The stats back it up as they are 301st in ppg, 290th in fg%, 262nd in 3pt %, 305th in ft's and only 139th in offensive rebounds. They are almost just as bad defensively as 145th is the highest they rank in any defensive stat and that is fg % if you are wondering. Meanwhile Xavier ranks inside the top 80 in every offensive category except fg % and they are 109th in that. Defensively they are 73rd in ppg allowed, 106th in fg%, and 115th in 3 pt%. Oh and they are 31st and 15th in rebounding both sides of the court. I know they just lost Sumners and I wish he was in this game however I think beating Butler by 19 will give them the confidence they need that they can play without him until he is healthy again. Away from home this year Xavier is 2-1 beating Michigan by 16 and a good Wake Forest team by 8. On neutral courts away from home they have beaten Dayton, USC, and Alabama all by double digits. With Xavier being 10-4 ats and St Johns being 3-11 ats and 1-6 ats at home I'm taking the Xave's and the big number. Until St. Johns can prove to me that they can do something I will continue to fade them.
Good Luck guys!
