FEATURED PICK
MINNESOTA @ BOSTON | 08/25 | 7:10 PM EDT
MINNESOTA +143
ANALYSIS: Bailey Ober is 0-1 with a 2.76 ERA in August and he hasn’t allowed more than three runs in his last six starts. Nick Pivetta has been very hit or miss this season and he has been worse at home. The Red Sox bullpen has been awful this month as evidenced by almost blowing last night’s game to the Twins. The Red Sox escaped with a win yesterday but they looked very vulnerable in the process. Take the Twins to get the win tonight.
COLORADO @ CHI. CUBS | 08/25 | 6:30 PM EDT
COLORADO -145
ANALYSIS: The Cubs won the first game of this doubleheader and they used their best relievers in doing it. The Rockies are ranked third in the league in wOBA against lefties and they face lefty Justin Steele in Game 2. I don’t think either team is good enough to sweep the doubleheader and German Marquez has been good this season, take the Rockies to get Game 2.
SAN FRANCISCO @ N.Y. METS | 08/25 | 7:10 PM EDT
SAN FRANCISCO +110
ANALYSIS: The Giants put a beating on the Mets last night and that was without Kris Bryant in the lineup. Johnny Cueto has been slightly worse on the road but he hasn’t allowed more than three runs in his last five starts and he will give the Giants quality innings after last night’s bullpen game. Taijuan Walker has struggled going 0-3 with a 4.44 ERA in August. The Mets are 6-16 in August while the Giants are 16-5.
WASHINGTON @ MIAMI | 08/25 | 7:10 PM EDT
WASHINGTON -111
ANALYSIS: Two MLB top 100 prospects in Edward Cabrera and Josiah Gray face off tonight. However, Cabrera is making his Major League debut while Gray has been pitching well in the Majors. The Nats have a lot of hot hitters right now including Lane Thomas, Yadiel Hernandez, and Riley Adams. The Marlins have lost eight straight games. The Nats own this matchup going 8-3 so far this season, take the Nats on the road.
