The Giants bats were on fire last night as they belted out 15 hits in a 8-0 blowout. I am not sure what changes overnight . I believe this game will be a little bit more of a pitchers duel because of the strikeout ability of each pitcher, but Johnny Cueto has much better command as of late as he is not allowing the walks Taijuan Walker is. Walker has really struggled in his last few starts going 0-5 and allowing double his average runs per game. The Giants are hot and should take advantage again tonight on the road. Take San Francisco.

ANALYSIS: Bailey Ober is 0-1 with a 2.76 ERA in August and he hasn’t allowed more than three runs in his last six starts. Nick Pivetta has been very hit or miss this season and he has been worse at home. The Red Sox bullpen has been awful this month as evidenced by almost blowing last night’s game to the Twins. The Red Sox escaped with a win yesterday but they looked very vulnerable in the process. Take the Twins to get the win tonight.

The Rockies are ranked third in the league in wOBA against lefties and they face lefty Justin Steele in Game 2. I don’t think either team is good enough to sweep the doubleheader and German Marquez has been good this season, take the Rockies to get Game 2.

Taijuan Walker has struggled going 0-3 with a 4.44 ERA in August. The Mets are 6-16 in August while the Giants are 16-5.
