CONSORTIUM CHOICES

Chatsworth Consortium

# 2 NOBLE LOGANS LOU 3/1

# 5 PERFECT STAR 5/1

# 7 PRINCE NAUTILUS 5/2

We've got good vibrations NOBLE LOGANS LOU is going to get the win. Many harness players know speed is of the utmost importance. This race horse has credentials with a 69 avg number. Good for a win wager just off the terrific prior class stats. Have to like this contender. Really liked this gelding's last race. Ran a strong 70 TrackMaster speed fig. Major contender. PERFECT STAR - Feel the need for speed, this standardbred has been turning in some amazing TrackMaster SRs averaging around 61. A good class horse can't be passed over. With an average class stat of 64 all signs point to yes. PRINCE NAUTILUS - This solid standardbred achieved a really good speed rating last out. Looks in good shape to come right back. Substantial driver/trainer ratings make this nice horse a strong choice. Surely will be putting some profits down in this one.

DRF HARNESS

Race 6 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet (53 - 101 / $205.20): SS TOMMY TURNER (6th)

Spot Play: CHIPPER (4th)

Race 1

(1a) BLACKJACK RIVNDEL should offer the better price of the few contenders in the race; driver's choice. (2) FINNTASTIC lightly raced pacer put in a career best effort last out just missing. (4) HARLEY J three-year-old is 0 for the year but has been close in recent starts.

Race 2

(1) AGENT BOOTH will offer a big price and just needs some racing luck from the rail to have a shot late. (6) BANDS ALEXIS has been a new horse for the current connections; short price. (3) A LOCAL BAND gelding trotter has been improved in his last few but would need more to hit the top spot.

Race 3

(7) OUR MISS LILY mare will look to make it five wins and a second in six recent starts at this level. (4) SUN DREAM mare hasn't been the same this year but can crank it up at times. (6) KITTY O'BRIEN mare gets her regular pilot back but needs a good setup; fires late.

Race 4

(1) CHIPPER tried a change of tactics last out. The pacer tired late and looks to be better coming from off the pace. (3) SPEED RACER raced gamely first start back off a long layoff and should have more to offer. (8) BEN N AL has been extremely good since shipping in from out east and was the driver's choice.

Race 5

(3) BLUE GEM was on a roll prior to the flat tire. The pacing mare gets sent out for a recent hot trainer. (2) MEET ME TONIGHT filly was pressed hard last out and still drew off nicely. (5) CASINO COMP needed her last start and has beaten similar on the year.

Race 6

(8) SS TOMMY TURNER has a lot of question marks but could be the sleeper in the race off bad-looking lines. However the recent qualifier was much improved. (1) HURRICANE FINALE gelding could be in line for a nice trip up close. (2) LD'S DASH doesn't win often but is capable of a big burst from time to time.

Race 7

In a tough race to gauge (5) LOVINMESTRAIGHT gets sent out for connections tough to leave off the top spot. (8) IF I DIDNT DREAM filly has shown some ability but will need to find a way into the race; fires late. (9) PERFECTLY CLEAR filly will offer a big price and is capable of better.

Race 8

(9) SPEEDY ALBER takes a significant drop in class and just needs a trouble-free trip to be right there. (1) BAGS FOR ALL filly gets sent out for capable connections and could threaten late with a good setup. (10) NESSIE'S BOY also drops in class and could be the sleeper in the race at a price.

Race 9

(4) INDIAN CREEK KATIE owns only one win on the year but it was at this level. The pacer is versatile and could be the main danger late with a good set up. (7) EARTHLY DESIRE finds a much easier field than last out; threat. (1) WESTERN BOUDOIR mare has been sharp in her last two and gets the best post.

Northfield: Wednesday 12/3 Analysis
By Ken Walters

DRF HARNESS

Best Bet: MUCKMUCK WOODCHUCK (5th)

Spot Play: SHEER SPORT (2nd)

Race 1

(6) ST ELIANS FIRE won for fun in last and can hardly be looked past this evening. (5) NITEROI OAKS seeks fourth straight and streaks like this need to be respected. (4) PRAKASMAKESPERFECT has wired the field convincingly last two and can take another on best.

Race 2

(5) SHEER SPORT was hindered by the post two back, showed late life in last. (4) ADDYS SECRET showed some closing speed in last and best puts her in the middle of the stretch scrum. (3) FIDGETING HANOVER drops down. Seldom wins but has hit the board often enough to get a look.

Race 3

(3) VICTORINTHEVALLEY ships back and won versus similar two back after a slew of second place finishes. (4) HIGH HEAR WINNER has shown some late speed in most recent races. (5) GO HERBIE GO looked like he could get it done last out but flattened a bit. Looms as a late threat in well-matched field.

Race 4

(1) ITS SPIDER was parked early, tucked, rallied late. Has the rail and no excuses. (3) QUICK KIL was parked from the outside post in last and expired early. Beaten favorite two back could be tough if right. (7) ITSNOONERTIME has some early speed and could be tough if he gets the lead.

Race 5

(6) MUCKMUCK WOODCHUCK was parked for life in last. Prior was huge move to the lead only to tire. Gotta get one more chance in here. (2) SECURITY BREACH had cover and no kick in latest. Beaten lukewarm favorite could be the right one if all goes his way. (1) CANDY J has been overwhelmed by `nines` in most recent races. From the pole, she should have the trip she wants.

Race 6

(1) HERSMAN drops, draws the rail and gets a vote with heads-up drive. (5) ARTISTIC DREAMER gets call to be the main threat, especially with Wrenn. (4) A J CRESS was outkicked with victory a possibility in last. Moves out from the rail in that effort but should give it his all.

Race 7

(4) MISTYS DIGNITY was parked in last, made a brave move to rally close but tired. Same move, better timing can equal victory. (5) ELM GROVE JOKER has a good qualifier under his belt. Lightly raced last two years, if he has anything he will show it first out of the box. (7) EXPRESSO FORTE came up flat last time. Prior were decent efforts. Gets a long look, especially on the board.

Race 8

(9) UF FAST FEELIN has been good last two with most recent being a down the road victory. Will have speed in front of him and get involved throughout. (1) HUNT N SAVE has speed and the rail. (3) BANANA SHOOTER scored impressively in last. Ships in and will be tough to best with similar effort.

Race 9

(4) ON YOU BRIT when last on the track he was a well bet tripped-out second place finisher. (2) BROADWAY BOUND was second over and showed marked improvement in last. Needs more late kick for best. (3) HELLO CARLO beaten favorite made a costly break in last. Can staying flat equal vindication? Time will tell.

Race 10

(5) HOOREI FOR FLASH made it home in last with game down the road effort and gets the nod in well-matched race with numerous able players. (6) DERINGER GUN seeks third straight and has to be respected. (3) CHIPS GALORE closed well in last and could be the one if top two battle.

Race 11

(3) TIDBIT gets the nod to pull off the upset. (4) OUTAMYSPACE fits well versus these and will be hard to best. (5) DABUNKA has been nailed last two with victory a possibility. Still, he is sharp enough to be a force as far as he goes.

Race 12

(5) JAY JAY REDSKY can close on field that begs to be beat. (6) ABBEYCREST has been close last few and is one to fear. (7) BUILDING WEALTH veteran's career is winding down. He has shown some late speed but best of rest seems his fate.

Race 13

(4) CATCH THAT ANGEL was parked uncovered a long way in game effort last time and earns some respect off that try. (7) LIGHTNINGINTHESKY doesn't seem to mind any post and has late speed. Cannot be ignored. (8) GALLOWS POLE scorched the track in last closing with big wide move and earns a long look once more.

Race 14

(9) SHAKINMYMONIMAKER has little to beat in here and should find a way into contention despite the second tier. (4) PEPSTEPN PENELOPE had a win in her sights in last but faltered. (2) SOUTHERN CARE almost won from post two a couple of races back.

Race 15

(5) FOREVER HAPPY rallied late in last and that should be enough to make him a serious threat in here. (1) SKEDADDLE HANOVER ships in, draws the rail and may have one serious race in him for Rocco before retirement beckons. (2) CAPTAIN CASEY was scratched sick in last. He was a beaten favorite in prior race.

Bonus Play Wednesday 10:00 PM NCAAB

(777) UC IRVINE at (778) FRESNO STATE

Take: (777) UC IRVINE -7

Revenge is a much bigger deal once league play begins than it is at this time of the season. But there are still those isolated games where it comes into play, and I believe this will be one of them.

Turn the clock back to opening night of the 2013-14 season and UC-Irvine ended up on the receiving end of a really painful loss to Fresno State. The way that one went down and the physical matchup tonight have me playing the favorite this evening.

Fresno State’s largest lead in last year’s win against the Anteaters was a whopping one point. That was the final score, as the Bulldogs came away with a crazy 98-97 overtime win. That’s going to be one that would figure to stick in the craws of the Anteaters, especially with most of last year’s team back again. What’s worse is that Irvine simply gave this basketball game away with some outrageously awful foul shooting.

That poor work from the charity stripe would haunt the Anteaters for most of the season. But the fact they’ve improved that aspect of the game dramatically this season is proof enough that the players really worked on fixing the problem during the off season, and it’s paying off so far this campaign.

So I think I’ve got motivation with the better team tonight, and that’s always important when considering laying any substantial number.

Then there’s the matchup. Fresno State is a little on the small side. Irvine is the tallest of the tall. That’s of significance here as with their true point guard Cezar Guerrero out for the first 11 games, the Bulldogs are struggling some in the backcourt. One thing we’re definitely seeing thus far is that Fresno cannot shoot a lick from deep. That doesn’t exactly bode well considering what’s awaiting them in the paint tonight. Unless Fresno State can find a way to drill some bombs, they’re going to have some trouble creating any consistent offense tonight.

This game actually power rates a little lower than the betting line. But I’m more matchup than math when the situation calls for it, and I think this is one of those spots. It’s a game I see going UC-Irvine’s way by a decent enough margin to warrant spotting the points.

Comp NBA Pick for Wednesday, December 3, 2014: 8:05 PM EST

(715) PHILADELPHIA 76ERS VS (716) MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES

Take: (716) MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES

Reason: Your Bonus Play for Wednesday, December 3, 2014 is in the NBA scheduled game between the 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves. Philadelphia is not just the worst team in the NBA this season, they've got a shot at being the worst team ever. They are 29th in points scored, 27th in points allowed and a perfect (or imperfect) 0-17. The 76ers are 7-16 ATS in their last 23 vs. the Western Conference and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games. Minnesota is home from a three-game road trip even beating the Lakers as a +6 dog. The 76ers 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings, including 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Minnesota. Play Minnesota!

William and Mary vs. Richmond

Bonus Play William and Mary +10

The Tribe is 5-1 and won at Rice by 4 points. They are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 while Richmond is 2-6-1 ATS in its last 9 games and stand at 2-3. These two are located less than an hour apart in the state of Virginia. The Spiders won by 11 last year in Williamsburg but the last game at Richmond went into overtime.

Richmond is led by Kendall Anthony and Terry Allen. Also, on the roster is TJ Cline, whose mother is Nancy Lieberman. W&M are led by Marcus Thornton at 17 ppg, Prewitt at 12 ppg and Dixon at 9.5 ppg. Terry Tarpey adds 7 points, leads in assists with 20 and 10 blocks.

I think we see a 67-61 type of game so take the underdogs.

Philadelphia 76ers at Minnesota Timberwolves 8:05PM

5* Bonus Play Minnesota Timberwolves

Reason: 5* Play on Minnesota. T-Wolves are young and playing like it - off to a poor 4-12 start to the year. But that record is a bit misleading as they have played far more road games (ten) than home games (six) so far this season, and versus a Philly team that is winless in 17 tries there's no reason this pointspread is less than double-digits. Pure value play here backing Minnesota at home tonight.

The 76ers are obviously winless on the road (in seven tries), but that doesn't do any justice as to how poorly they have played. In all seven road games, they have yet to score more than 91 points, and have been held to 83 points or less four times in those seven games. Minnesota puts up over 100 ppg on the season and will jump at the chance to earn a rare victory! T-Wolves take their frustration out on a bad Philly team and cover this number with ease! 5* Play on Minnesota.
