I saw an interesting stat recently.For every 1000 households in the US 800 some have a tv.In Costa Rica it was 200 something.In Iraq it was 49.Obviously the oil $ was not trickling down to the people.Now we know why.

I've know for a long time the sanctions had nothing to do with the average iraqi citizen suffering. the liberals are the ones that were blind to that. saddam was selling plenty of oil thru syria, franch and russia. Koffi would get his cut and saddam would hoard all the profits for his cronies. no difference than other dictators throughout history. the whole sanctions were killing iraqi children was just BULLSHIT for the left to criticize AMERICA.

I'm not saying CNN did not cover the whining of the left about sanctions. I'm saying CNN knew about all the torture, executions and lies iraq was putting out and they chose to not report it for 12 years so they could have access to baghdad bob.

Doesn't it make sense that if the US finds 100's of MILLIONS of US dollars and six months of medical supplies hoarded and numerous new palaces built for saddam and the cronies, maybe they have enough cash to feed the peasants? Huh!
Sorry I'm not a light weigh. Rebuilding a country takes more than a few weeks. We were in Japan for more that 6 years and now they're doing fine. The US is still in Germany and we did the best we could, likewise with SK. The US tries to help other countries. We left Kuwait much better off. Your left wing BULLSHIT holds no water.
