2016: 2.73 hrs/game at Arizona

April: O/U 12-5 46 home runs over 17 games - 2.71 Hrs/game
May : O/U 5-6-1, 40 HR's over 12 games - 3.33 HRs/game

JUNE:

Padres 3 game series - O/U 3-0, 8 HR's (3,3,2 - 4 Dback Hr's )
Brewers 3 game series - O/U 2-1, 9 HR's (2,2,5 - 6 Dback HR's)

(ZERO games with ZERO HRs so far, 7 games with only 1 home run still only 3-4 to the O/U)

Totals were all in the 8.5 - 9.5 range for the 6 games but only 1 found the Under...and only one Dback loss. Home runs still coming...

8 game roadie starting tomorrow. Return home Thursday June 23rd for 10 straight at home...hit the road for a quick 3 games then back home for 3 before the All Star break. At least waiting until then I would say for any sign of a humidor...will continue to monitor.

Frustrating to me that I've been unable to be kept more informed on this, its like: "We're putting in a humidor" then those that should be updating progress on this have literally said zero else. Since that initial announcement. And I don't understand why its happening anyway. I did hear Chase Field saw more home runs than Coors last year, possibly the most in MLB...I recall just the "more than Coors" part.

This humidor thing matters. Not that I bet a great deal of Unders at Chase just that whether a humidor is being used is a thing people need to know. Thus my complete bewilderment on how a Major Sports Franchise can announce: "Humidor Coming." then go totally silent on the matter for 2 months, saying nothing more about it.

Funny that I did have UN 27 Hits/Runs/Errors last night with Chase Anderson (former DBack, now with MIL)/Robbie Ray at Chase Field and it was bigtime safe, seemingly well in hand with just 8 Total HRE heading into DBacks Bottom of the 7th, just 12 outs away (Dbacks up 1-0 at that point) then DBacks get 5 Runs on 5 Hits in that 7th, still OK only at 17 HRE have 27 after Brewers get Nada Top ofn the 8th only 6 outs to get thru Dbacks get 5 more runs on only 4 hits though Thank God (Grand Slam) so still OK at 26 Total HRE but here comes Silvino Bracho from out of the Buulpen.

If you do come to bet Chase Field Unders and you are watching the game and you see Silvino Bracho come in from the bullpen its healthier for you to just turn the game off at that point.

Leadoff batter in that 9th, Brewers. Boom. Solo HR.

I will, right now tho I gotta go deal with some Tire situation and probably go by the Bank but I will. Speaking of Tulsa: once enroute from there to Stillwater I happened upon Jim Thorpe's House. Its out in the middle of nowhere or at least was then. You can Tour It but it was closed at that time cuz it was too early. The Steward of the house though, a Grand daughter of Thorpe or GrandNiece was there though in the yard and she gave me the tour.

Thorpe's kid took one of his Gold Medals from The Olympics and lost it somewhere around the house. It had yet to be found. I searched for it, for a bit but I had to get to Stillwater to see The Cowboys Play (Orange Cowboys not Star Cowboys). Should have gone to Norman though, to see The Sooners cuz it turned out OK State was On The Road Sooners were playing at Home and they went on that year to win the national championship.

There was no internet, back then. You'd think that I would have asked someone though lol

Ya at least made it to Eskimo Joe's didn't ya, lol. True story, I forgot how to lie a long time ago, I'm sitting in a bar on 11th Street in Tulsa, beautiful Sunday afternoon, and I've got what will become my first and only wife with me. We saw something on the bar TV that got me thinking, I had never been to Stillwater. I asked her if she'd ever been, and the answer was no. We made it from 11th and Peoria to Eskimo Joe's in 36 flat. GPS that rate, LOL. I blew by a OK ST so damn fast on the Cimarron Turnpike, all he did was tap his breaks and kept driving on, lol. Never made it to Thorpe's place though, that would have been worth the trip. Been to Mantles's place, met him before he passed on.

So...interesting. First game with zero HR's in a 2-1 extra innings game. Just 1 HR in G4, occurred in 1st inning. Totals were still 9+ through he series, but 3 find the under. Just the hapless Phillies or do we have a sign...Phils actually hit more HR's in the series than Dbacks did.

9 of next 12 are at home to take us to the All Star break. Cardinals in tonight, O/U opened at 8.5, with a 9 or two popping up. Too early to tell if there's a change...but I'm going to ride the under tonight.

No Humidor this Season.

MLB Official Ruling. Due to "Science Stuff" as that relates to actual install/use of a Humidor at this field.

Chase Field is, also, at the center of Turmoil due to disrepair....Leaks, several Leaks of late causing flooding and Air Conditioner failure.

No AC this past Sunday....or Limited AC....

Reported that MLB said also: "too far into this season to go with Humidor"

well......'Duh.'


Reported also that MLB will continue to consider Humidor for 2018 Season.

Bottom Line: No More concern needed for Humidor Installation this season.
