Very good of those Americans to boo. They know that this moment of 'unity' is really just a moment of division where rich athletes get together and blame white people for the struggles in poor black America, despite the facts being that poor black America is the one that hurts poor black America.

You want to see some nonsense go to twitter and look up booing. My goodness, the world is coming to an end. How dare people boo players using their platform to spread the word.

Ahem...……..

Players making millions that have done pretty much nothing in their communities. All this while they live in mansions, have security gates and some guards out front. This "message" is coming from the wrong people. Why don't they address black on black killing? Why don't they send the message to Chicago, NYC and other areas where "their people" are just killing each other, rioting, looting and just being straight up criminals?

Never mind, it's not the agenda...…….. 13% of the population that 1/10 of 1% of that population making all the trouble and the other part of that % wants change. Normal every day black folks don't have to worry about the police if they are doing nothing wrong.

In almost every killing, the people that got shot had a criminal record and if they didn't the police were there for the one that did. Don Lemon and his pals need to tell that story not this junk they peddle.

The booing you heard rejected BLM, not unity. The booing you heard rejected the rioting, looting, violence and in-your-face harassment associated with the BLM movement. BLM, just like the KKK, "mostly peaceful." Bull Connor = "mostly peaceful."

5.2 rating 16.4 million viewers for last night's opener. 16.1% drop over 2019. On paper it looks significant but compare those numbers to most TV shows. NCIS the top rated show in 2019 drew 12.3 million viewers. The NFL is still King.

If the social justice nonsense continues, ratings will continue to decline.

If they drop the bullshit, the NFL will be fine.

It's up to them.

You are right about Vegas...regardless of race, the low rates have brought a whole different crowd. 27 people arrested last week and plenty of online videos of fights up and down the strip.

The NFL is smart enough to move the line a bit and let some of this nonsense go on. You think the owners are onboard? The games will get back to normal, but the network and announcers will continue to compete for their viral "woke" moments which results in idiots like Chris Collinsworth and his comments last night.

Same to a lesser degree in the NBA. Didn't Steve Nash just get hired to coach the Nets? If Adam Silver wasn't a late-night ladyboy visiting the quarantined rooms of the players, they would get that under control too.

wait.... so... people expressing their own opinions during a time that is suppose to be taken and set aside to honor or pay respect for something else.... is now frowned upon? And the NFL is not ok with this.... oh the irony

Bingo. You can kneel for the flag, that's free speech, but if you boo a moment of 'unity' then you are evil white supremacist scum.

These people give you an ultimatum and it's very obvious to anyone paying attention... 'let us do what we want, or you're our enemy.'

16% drop in viewership compared to the same game last year - I personally think sports suck with no fans - but maybe people just have had it with the social justice bullshit - NFL is gonna have a tough season

Sports fans as a whole rely on facts..probably as a whole do more research also ... so when you see athletes on the court or the field that are shoving down their beliefs on us and are avoiding a good part of the story , most of us know better.. most of us have a better understanding of the issues.. most of these athletes have no clue what they're talking about

Probably had a lot to do with the game wasn't competitive but football with no fans feels way weirder than basketball. Basketball they can zoom the camera enough and get the lighting right that it doesn't feel as weird as football. A 75,000 seat stadium looking empty is just weird but we'll see what the rest of the season brings.

The Chiefs are team right now but if they weren't involved, it would've felt like a HS game.
