Just seeing a lot of the analysis and criticism about the Cavs down the stretch, I just don't think your average fan understands how elite GS is defensively. They don't always have to dial it up because they can score with ease vs most teams but they're the best defensive team in the league.

OKC and Cleveland didn't just start struggling in must win games against them for no reason. Their length and athleticism is tough to beat.

Warriors were first team in NBA Finals to win on road and as underdogs; favorites lead 3-1 SU & ATS. Unders are also 3-1 after staying just under 207 in Game 4 (thanks to Cavs dribble-out on last possession). Overall in the postseason, favorites are 49-33-1 ATS (59.8 percent) and unders lead 51-32 (61.4 percent).

Warriors did their part and played great D. But lots of 1 on 1, standing around and poor passes from the Cavs offense down the stretch didn't give them much chance for success.

Roy Jones once said "They say I ain't beat nobody, I just make em look like nobody."

OKC got stagnant too, coincidence? These things aren't just happening vs the Warriors by design here. Green, Iguodala and Klay are all excellent defenders.

When you have 4 guys on the court that are 6'7, covering all that ground, everyone is intelligent and rotating correctly then it is pretty tough to score. Takes an elite offensive player to beat that type of defense.

Why didn't the Thunder get stagnant vs the Spurs or the Cavs vs the Raptors?

I agree here man, they rotate well and are long. Much like the Lakers were long when Odom 6'10 was playing small forward & Kobe 6'6 (or 6'8 is what his rookie cards say) makes it tough to beat. But Cavs efforts were just bad. Its one thing when good offense meets good defense, but 4qtr tonight it was bad offense meets good defense.
