Right on the money
A lot of folks underestimated this team probably because it lacked the flashiness of some of their past squads. But this team was extremely versatile on offense, far superior to the Celtics on that front. I think many viewed Boston as more “talented” but that only applied to their physical/athletic advantages. The Warriors have way more offensive skill than the Celtics, and that clearly showed in this series.
Perhaps most under appreciated about this team was their defense. That truly was the driving force (along with Curry’s brilliance) to winning this championship. The Warriors managed to score at least 100 points in all 6 games of the series, while the Celtics only did so in 2 games. Maybe the media was praising the wrong defense.
