I have to agree about uncle charlies. I ordered from the other day and it was 4k for a philly cheese and coke. sandwich was half the size and mediocre at best. The fries were crap.

I went to fridays and about fell off my chair when i saw the $26 dollar potato skins. There burgers also are like $8500 colones now. Although there lunch special is good comes with soup or salad, drink, entree and dessert for like 5 or 6k. The best burger is at outback the no rules its only like 5k.

I went there last week to have lunch and the service horrible. With only 3 people in the place, It took 10 minutes before someonce came to take my order and that[s after constantly trying to get there attention.

After the food finally came and it was time to pay up, the girl added the bill wrong and undercharged me by 5000 colones. I kept trying to tell her that I was suppose to pay more and she ketp arguing with me that the price was right.

I did meet the new owner and he seems ok. Some body building gringo and his wife run the place. They were very nice and told me thta they would improve the service but the prices will stay.

Prices are going up everywhere though :( Blame the economy, the dropping colon, thieving tico employees, whatever...

It's hilarious that it costs more for a "good" meal here now than in the USA.

Thats actually the real one, It's been there for about 20 years...they just had a small problem branding the franchise when it first got here...

I pay 2,000 colones for a "good" meal, but "good" to me means somewhat low fat, more like home cooked stuff, and that includes a dessert, and drink. I typically pass on the dessert, as I have to watch myself.

I'm talking your everyday kind of "meal"... nothing fancy, or high-end, just regular stuff. Here in Costa Rica we call that a "casado".

2,000 colones is $3.57 USD

Go back to Canada then el fucksticko canadiense

Unfortunately I've made a home for myself here, it would take a lot of work and time to sell everything and move ;)

The best thing about being told "if you don't like it, leave" by a tico is, you know they're just jealous because they don't have any place better to leave to.
