The Hispanics are serious about taking back the Southwest US. A majority of Mexicans believe it to be rightly theirs. A Mexican prez has even stated that Mexico extends beyond it's borders; pretty obvious where. Professors have called the cultural and political takeover inevitable. I've heard it called the reconquest and even Liberation of Aztlan, which implies the mythical beginnings of the Aztecs. Somewhere I read that before 2030 California will be majority Hispanic. The wall won't stop that; the Hispanic birth rate is winning the race already. I wonder if we've have hit that point in the Empire timeline where borders shift. If Hispanics dominate that region, succession might be at play and certainly, at least in jest, plenty of conservatives seem willing to surrender the area.
