Does that make Lander an ex-employee for pointing out the original problem?
I didn't even know about it until someone called me requesting my computer opinion. He said he was unable to reach Wagerweb customer support.
RPM, you (an ex-RX insider) were the only one to actually answer my original question which was about the forum itself.
BTW, the type of error message Lander displayed is an INTERNAL error message that occurs when the webserver cannot connect to the database. Since the database is usually on the same server or an adjacent server on the same network, I fail to see how the problem Lander reported could be Internet bottleneck related (as claimed).
This type of error usually occurs if the database is:
a) down for maintenance
b) disconnected from the network (bad hub, loose wire)
c) database runs out of disk space, or some similar software error
d) too many simultaneous connections have been made to the database and no new connections can be form (may be 'internet related' if under attack)
Of course, the "explanation" offered by Emperor Dave doesn't explain why wagerweb didn't post on the forum yesterday or how a "bottle neck" could cause this particular error message. Actually, if the server was getting overloaded, a bottleneck might help by reducing traffic.
Finally, by his "logic" I must appear to be an ex-employee of sportingbet as well to posters on Major, since I was all over that thread.
