you sure about that? make you wait over a week for a bankwire, then emails you and says, ok, we will let you slide, go ahead and withdrawal the rest by Neteller, eventhough our rules say different........and oh yeah, i almost forgot, we are switching banks, and you can't get a check either.:WTF:

Wagerweb is a great book and the best thing they ever did was changing that stupid Neteller withdrawal rule. That really cost them a lot of business IMO.
Anyone not playing here is making a mistake.

They aren't a bad book. They pay and have some decent promos. But they don't really seperate themselves enough from the competition to be considered top tier. That $1000 max per day baffles me.

Say what you want any Rxers playing at Wagerweb can contact Dave Johnson with any kind of situation or problem and he will do all he can to solve or aleiviate the situation. For my money that is worth having WW as an out. Minor glitches like this one are easily handled and even easier to avoid. Saying WagerWeb falsely advertises as a thread title in overly dramatic. So what they went from 1% to .5 % on volume rebates after football and didn't change it on their website. Any player worth his salt would pin down the percentage ahead of time if that was the reason for posting up at a particular book. We all know enough to verify any promotional details upon post up. A simple does that 1% rebate include me if I send this post up would have saved this entire discussion. Same with half points, rollovers, hold time for new funds and anything else that a book is promoting. Pin it down with customer service, ask for a name of who you are dealing with and keep the date and details of the conversation with CSD. Sportsbetting 101.

Wil, the site said 1%, not .5% therefore, i would say FALSE ADVERTISING. It has now been fixed.

This isn't the only problem I have with this book. I feel they are solid, but I was lied too. That is why I will not play there again.

Wil - understand your point but it is still the responsibility of the book to ensure the info on their site is accurate. A minor error perhaps, but can't blame the player for believing what is listed on their site.

They advertise here.. they didnt do anything wrong.

It was my fault for believing what their website stated.

In fact, I think this whole thread should be deleted

Bigbet I don't know anything about you being lied to and to be honest I believe it is entirely your right to play or not play where ever you care to. As far as Wager Web goes I have never met Dave or even spoke to him on the phone. As a moderator I have asked him in E-mails to address a few issues brought up here at the Rx. which he responded to immediately and that was that. Had someone notified me that the 1% was wrong and should have read .5% I would have sent an E-mail to Dave and it would have been fixed as soon as possible (going by the way he has reacted to inquires from me in the past). I have no other connection with the book as a moderator here at the Rx. As a player I have been able to do business without having to go to a forum for help with Wager Web or anywhere else for that matter. I have played at at least 20 books offshore and somehow have avoided needing to post on a forum such as the Rx. that I was having problems even once. Just lucky I guess.

As far as the false advetising goes natrually it is a books obligation to have correct information on their website but that still doesnt mean a player shouldn't get the details verbally or by E-mail for any promo a bettor posts up for. There is no excuse for not getting every detail verified before hand when you post up at a new book or an old bok you are already using that offers a new premium. In this case the season changed (football ended and the 1% went to .5%) not exactly the end of the world. I personally like a book that allows communication with management (although I have never needed it at WW to date) and feel it is an important asset. I worked in customer service for a top tier major book for several years and have heard just about every complaint known to the industry. A simple EMail could have rectified this situation and many more just like it. Perhaps if some of you guys played before the internet you would understand what I am talking about, direct communication can solve 90 percent of the complaints we get. These days we hear complaints about dollar breakage the wrong way or clerks having accents, or the phone ringing 4 times before it was picked up ad nauseam. I am from the old school and handle my own problems. Anyway best of luck with the upcoming tournaments.

Wil:

i was told that i could not get a check for a payout, and they said i could not have neteller, only up to the amount deposited, fine. well, i did not want a Bankwire, hate those. i thought, since the check was not an option, and it was clearly on their site, i could choose a method of my choice.

to make a long story short, i agreed to a bankwire, they said 3-5 business days, i waited 7, then emailed them. they then emailed me and told me to request it neteller. the lie came from them telling me the bankwire was on the way, and never was sent.

BB - I can understand you being upset, no one llikes to be jacked around when it comes to payouts. The problem comes when books or any other business lets the right hand talk about something the left hand knows nothing about - if you know what I mean. I am not sure if that was the case with you and WW but obviously procedures were either changing or had changed but were not common knowledge to their CSD personell during the week or two you were trying to get paid. The best rule of thumb for a CSD clerk is never lie that way you never have to remember anything. I don't know if you were dilibrately lied to or not, it may be the clerk just didn't know what to tell you which is not uncommon but still not an exceptable excuse or reason to say your money was on the way when it wasn't.
I use the same method to get paid whenever possible (bank transfer) and make it a point to not depend on the money until I actually see it in my bank balance that seems to work for me. I sincerely hope you can find a set of books that suit your own specific needs and are able to confidently stick with them problem free for a long time.

Sherman : Why does WW owe you a free shirt, if you never played there ? I don't understand !

I'm wearing my RX shirt (really) now, got it by picking a line correctly on the Brooklyn Dodgers. I still haven't got my 1,000 post shirt.

The sizes run large. I wanted XXL, got XL, fits fine !

They go large so our heads fit thru them !

Dave

Good to see you posting Dave. You should have a presence here. I enjoy your big limits and have been a happy customer for probably seven years now. But, would you please tell us when you will start sending out checks again? Thanks
