5bump can't be happy. How come he hates the Cubs so much?

He's never really explained that. He's just a hater I guess.

I will never understand people who hate the Cubs. What have they ever done to any other team? It's not like hating some team that dominates a sport or something.

I think he is a cardinal fan. Kinda natural for cards fans to hate the cubs

Like your team more than you hate mine. That's a rule of being a sports fan.

I hate the Packers, but I like the Bears more than I hate GB.

I am a Cubs fan. I hate the Cardinals, but I like the Cubs more than I hate StL. If I'm talking about baseball, I'm usually talking about the Cubs...not the Cardinals. It makes no sense. Why does he waste so much time hating on the Cubs and never talks about his team? It pretty much says it all that you said you "THINK" he's a Cards fan. I thought he was a TB fan. But we all KNOW he hates the Cubs.

Plus it makes no sense for Cards fans to hate the Cubs. What have we ever taken from them? Cardinals fans should LOVE us for all the easy W's we've given them throughout the years.

I'm just so impressed with this lineup.
Bryant is showing he can be great even without the long ball.

Stuck out 3 times on his first game then is hitting over .400 since. Has almost DD RBI with no homers.
Love Soler and Rizzo.
Fowler is perfect for that lineup

They say Russell is not great defensively and will end up an outfielder but he made. Tremendous play tonight.

The Cubs could really use Samardzija. He would have been the perfect #3 starter on this team but if Russell reached his ceiling maybe that trade will be ok.

The Cubs do need 1 more starter. Like I said Samardzija would have been perfect.

Anyway way this team is about a year away from being the best team in the league.

But I think they are plenty good enough to win 83 games this season.

Madden does some dumb shit though.

You got a pitcher who is 0-50 lifetime hitting and madden let him hit then after he strikes out he puts a relief pitcher in the game. That's fucked up.

If you are going to let an 0 for 50 pitcher hit at least let him pitch the next inning .

I agree with most of this. I think Russel can be a hell of an infielder defensively.

Agree on the 3rd starter, hoping we pick someone up via FA. I think Travis Wood actually has potential to be a good #3 though.

That was a dumbass move by Madden to have Lester hit but then replace him. Also didn't like how he let Ross hit in the 9th with men on (I think it was the 9th), I would have put in Montero since Lester was out (Ross is Lester's personal catcher, Montero has a much better bat). But Ross came through later in the game so wtf do I know.

Vegas has no respect for Arrieta.
Looks like another big bet on the Cubs today.

On the cubs as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see the game postponed, storms are only going to get worse as the night goes on.

Only pitcher vegas has less respect for than Arrieta is Alfredo Simon. Guy has been dominate and has one of the best offenses in the league behind him yet every game hes been plus money or at best -110.

JC what do you think of the comparison by some in this thread of the 2015 Cubs to the 1988 Oakland A's.

Are you for real?

Chill dude, I'm not breaking any rules by posting in a thread you started

You can post in here, just don't ever post that you are on the Cubs, or that you think they are going to win. Please, it's just a favor I'm asking.

You could post that the sun is going to come up tomorrow and it wouldn't. So you have to understand my request.

I posted in this thread a couple days ago that my biggest play of the year was on the cubs and they won

I don't know how that happened. Maybe Lang had a 200-dimer on the other side and his mush cancelled out your mush.

Either way I don't want to risk it.

This game needs to rain out.
Hopefully it will cancel the JC curse if it gets moved to tomorrow.

His pitcher Simon who he bragged about a few post up is getting his ass handed to him right now at home by the Astros.
