Yeah now have Lester and Arietta lined up for a 2 game set against the Tigers.

Even though Hammel has been our best pitcher by far. In case people haven't been paying attention.

Kendricks has also been pitching very well.

Ever since they kicked wood to the curb the back half of the rotation has been doing much better

He's helped beef up the pen too. He hasn't been great in relief, but not bad either. And can eat innings.

All around great move to pull him out of the rotation.

Do y'all realize just how good Hammel has been?

In 11 starts this year he has a WHIP of 0.893, ERA of 2.76, 76 strikeouts and 8 unintentional walks.

And he's even been trending towards the good, if that's possible.

This team is well above the 82 win projection and there are a lot of areas on the team that could be much better.

So they are doing this without many career years.

Besides Rizzo nobody is overachieving on offense.

Soler can be much better when healthy .
Russell will do much better the 2nd half of the season.
Fowler can do better.


Jon and Jake can pitch better.

There is a lot of upside that has not been realized yet.
