Now as far as "I look" I am not acting as Vitterd's lawyer in here as you want to project. What I'm doing is trying to turn this place into an actual forum, for maybe trhe first time. A virtual climb of Mount Everest if you will.

I understand that there are things Vitterd does that gets under poster's nerves. For me it's the GWB posts, for others there are other things. We all have our faults, weaknesses, shortcomings in communication, etc.

I must be doing something right by interceding here. I have gotten crap from both sides when stepping betwen Vit and his adversaries. I know for sure there are many posters who want this childish nonsense to stop.

I'd hate to lose posters in here. Good posters like ricboff, NFLTrends, etc. Even Willie, someone we both respect, posted a pic of beating a dead horse. Plus others who might check in from other rooms for the first time and choose to not participate because of these idiotic arguments.

We live in very interesting times. I think there are so many good issues and topics we all could be talking about.

Is it a disruption to intellectual discourse? Sure, but keep in mind these endless pissing contests are, for the most part, confined to threads with "vitterd" in the title. I know it feels like every thread becomes infected but if you check, say, the top 20 threads on the front page right now, the back and forth personal shit is mostly contained. Just as I have respected your wishes not to flame the lying cheat in your picks thread, people should know what they are in for when they click on a thread like this.
