QB rating includes running
He ran for 1100 yards last yr & it was a disaster
Look at passing yards/game and passing percentage last yr he was near the bottom
He holds the ball too long and there are sacks & deflections & fumbles
If Bagent was starting tonight I’d go with Bears, big
We wern't betting on last years stats. If you are then thats the issue

Fields QB completion record before this game this year was 63%. He's now at 66%.

His running yards are NOT in his completion percentage or his QB rating.

When he's healthy his numbers are even better.
He in playing in an offense that is limited with talent. The defense has been their strong point which is still below average allowing 26 pts per game this season..
The last few games they have improved some - but they are the worst defense in road games.

The Vikings lost this game all on their own with 4 turnovers.

His completion percentage is meaningless. During the 3rd quarter they flashed a stat showing Fields average pass length down the field. It was 0.3 yards. Not hard to complete a lot of passes when youre throwing nothing but laterals.

Vikings covered 5 straight against the spread and won those 5 SU. After a loss they usually tend not to cover the next game especially when you have a team that is pretty average as they can't keep up the pace of overplaying to that ability.

Again...The remark was about his percentage..Not about yards per pass.

Always something to divert the subject. Your a liberal; radical...LOL

He's 21st in completion percentage and 26th in passing yards per game. In other words he sucks.

Per ESPN:

The intent of Total QBR is to isolate each NFL quarterback's contribution to his team's fortunes as accurately as possible with the data available. It measures nearly every aspect of quarterback play, from passing to designed runs to scrambles to turnovers to penalties. QBR also strives to separate the performance of the individual quarterback from the rest of his team, all in an effort to rate the overall efficiency of each quarterback in the league.

Me:
Fields cannot identify the D pre snap, find an open receiver, get the ball out in under 2.7 seconds, accurately hit an open receiver 10-15 yards out, as NFL QBs must do. Look at Tua. See the difference.

And neither can any QB on any given day who losses...

When he gets beer linemen and receivers he can play well. Just like any other team.

He's no Mahomes nor does he have the same level of players around him.

What you posted on ESPN wasn't what the first post was about. Those stats are facts but he has a better upside .

He been injured often.
Baker Mayfield set all kinds of records when healthy with many great offesnsive players around him...
He got injured and so did many on offense and he was playing with a depleted offense and with injuries...His performance numbers also crashed, but all the things involved, were the reason. Not Him.

You mentioned his completion percentage and including Rushing in his ratings/percentages, which was not correct.

Would you want Fields to be the starting QB for your pro team?

Might’ve been the worst nfl game I ever seen !!
The worst game in recent memory was in week 5 last season when the Broncos hosted the Colts on TNF. The game was tied at 9-9 in regulation and Broncos fans were already heading to the exits before the coin flip in overtime. Al Michaels commented on the fans saying - "I guess they've seen enough."

Yes it does include that, read the definition again as explained on ESPN.com

Who cares if he was a "solid QB" in college? He can't compete at the pro level.

football matches between Vikings and Bears are often exciting and full of emotions
I agree, Joyce. (Welcome to the RX. I hope you're a real female. A divine one at that!) We need more women around here. These lunks get tiring.

I loved that game. It's not often in today's NFL where you see both defenses dominate the game. Yea, there were turnovers. Give the defenses credit. I love defensive battles.
