Viejo.... Although gambling is illegal there, do ppl still do it online like here & other places?

Have you?

Or is more difficult to access & more dangerous if you get caught?

Some gambling sites are blocked....but it is still easy to wager online....have never seen anyone busted for gambling on line....

Talking mostly about Bangkok and Pattaya Beach...

Northern Thailand is beautiful and worth the travel....

Hey VD, a Thai friend of mine said that Pattaya is mostly Russian mobsters nowadays. He said if I ever visit there I should go to Northern Thailand and avoid Pattaya . Is Bangkok worth going to and is it American friendly?

Northern Thailand is scenic and void of the hustle and bustle of Pattaya....Bangkok is a must to visit, much culture and many world events to see there...the biggest and most busiest city I have ever seen not named New York....

Americans there are in the minority...mostly European....and the food is tremendous...

Pattaya is the adult Disneyland of the world but stay away from the clubs that are owned by Russians...big ripoffs....

I am leaving tomorrow for 10 weeks of fun and excitement...hopefully get to Cambodia and Vietnam Nam when I am there....

Thailand cave rescue update: Still too dangerous to remove soccer team

CHIANG RAI, Thailand -- A team of 12 boys and their soccer coach, trapped in a cave in Thailand, say they're doing okay. The boys, aged 11 to 16 years old, have been trapped underground by floodwaters for 11 days. Officials tell CBS News they don't plan to attempt to rescue the boys Wednesday because it is still too dangerous, but a team of Thai Navy SEALs and medics are staying with them inside the cave.
Crews are divising a plan for the safest way to get them out, reports CBS News correspondent Ben Tracy.
