I haven't had a caramel apple in years, but they are GREAT!

Someone makes this easier method for making your own and they are 'squares' of caramel that you wrap around the apple. Sounds silly, but it is better than dipping the apple, I believe.

Anyway, bought, made.... whatever, caramel apples ARE GREAT!

Mallow Cup. Never seen those and I love to eat candy. Maybe I'm too young or it was a regional thing.

Let's see how far you go back with the Boyer candy--How about the Boyer Smoothie? Their attempt at duplicating the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.

Can always remember the Smoothie have little peanut bits where the Reese's was really the smooth one. They were ahead of their time, should have called it the Crunchy Peanut Butter cup.

As for the Mallo cups, cant tell you how many times I redeemed my 500 pts (the cardboard coins that came in the pack) for MORE Mallo cups. When you were a kid, it used to be more exciting to see the big $1.00 game piece in your wrapper than getting a peek at the neighbor girls underpants when she was on the jungle jim. :103631605

Between me and my 2 brothers, we were definitely into the 5 digit count for mallo cups consumed.

That cardboard money was more cups -- 500 pts equaled 10 free mallo cups. That was until they got smart and changed it to a $1.00 off coupon for 500 pts.

Havent seen a Smoothie around too often, Mallo cups are everywhere in the Burgh.

Do you have Cracker Barrell restuarants in your area?? If you do and havent been to one, you have to browse the gift area at least once. Like a trip down candy nostalgia lane. You'll find Goo Goo Clusters, Moon Pies, Cracker Jack, cocunut watermelon slices, flying saucers, those candy dots that came on what looked like cash register paper, liquid filled wax milk bottles, and a buch more. On top of all that, these items are almost all packed in reproduction original looking packaging.

Yeah we have Cracker Barrell with their vintage goodies. Alot of those candies you mention are still sold around here though.

Some I remember that are gone...Bubblishious, Marathon Bar, Bottle Caps, those Cinnamin Toothpicks, can you imagine in the I'll sue you era, a candy with a pack of toothpicks in it today? Pop Rocks and those wax bottles with flavored stuff in them...They have a show on cable called vintage foods or something like that, it's pretty cool to watch....You forget how many have disappeared.
