SORRY FORGOT TO POST THE LYRICS

Words by Van Halen)

I reach across to the other side
To make contact with you
Though in slumber you fill my dreams
And I make contact with you
Don't ask me why I'm crossing over

Oh, crossing over....

I never got to really know you
The way I want to now
So many things I didn't tell you
I wanna tell you now
Tell me why, oh Lord, you're crossing over

(I gotta come back to see your face)
Oh, crossing over
(I wanna hear you call my name, feel your touch)
Reaching out, reaching out
(Hear your voice again)
(To hear your voice again)
Crossing over
(To feel your touch)
Reaching out
(To feel you)
Crossing over
(To feel)
Reaching out, reaching out
Crossing over

well here is the latest bullshit

Ray Waddell of Billboard.com reports that a proposed summer amphitheater tour by a reunited VAN HALEN that was derailed when guitarist Eddie Van Halen checked into rehab now looks like it may be resurrected as a fall arena run. Several arena holds are in place in major markets for potential VAN HALEN dates, Billboard.com has learned.

The tour would feature David Lee Roth, Eddie and Alex Van Halen and Eddie Van Halen's teenage son Wolfgang on bass.

Thanks for the update Buster. Still undecided if I'll go if they come my way. Saw them many times, dating back to VH II in 79. Would prefer new music than a tour, but I know that will not happen. Will miss MA's vocals regardless. Hopefully Ed's head is on straight and will remain there.

BTW, I agree about Crossing Over. I loved Balance, and liked the direction. VH was a different band w/ Sam, but I'm a lot different at 43 then at 17. Too bad that ended the way it did. Here's hoping for some more quality music w/ DLR, and not some nostalgic money grab.

well here is the latest. dave and alex were photographed on july 16 at some dudes party/house/business.turns out the guy is some kind of art guy (could be for t--shirts/tour book/ or album design? so i guess now it is just a matter of time if these 2 are actually hanging out together.past interviews with alex spewed nothing but pure hatred.mike will not be involved as he has signed on for sammy's tour which already has dates in place for 60 shows.

If there are any up and coming bands in need of a lead guitarist, take a look at this 14-year-old girl. We’re not being sarcastic or being overly complimentary. This girl’s guitar skills are unreal.
In a video uploaded on YouTube Monday, 14-year-old Tina shows off her ridiculously amazing guitar chops with her flawless rendition of the solo from Van Halen’s “Eruption.”
The clip is only about a minute and a half, but it only takes about 15 seconds to see that Tina is the real deal. Her video currently has more than 300,000 views in just a few days.

Ok Valerie, it's time to step in and be Mommy. Stop this madness of your 15 year old son going on tour with the legendary VH.

No one here thinks Daddy won't get a little F'd up out on the road? No one here thinks old women still living in the '80's won't try and pop little Wolfie's cherry? Drugs, Alcohol, F'd up women. How ya going to keep a 15 year old away from this? Your not.

"Ok Wolfie, jam session is over now. Run back to the bus and catch some shut eye, Daddy's got a bottle of whiskey to polish off and a bitches name on my knob for her to polish off as well. Good Night little Wolfie."

What the Fuck? Sorry guys, I just can't bring myself to see this show. This is sad sad sad. I know some of you will defend little Wolfie and say "Give him a chance". Uh hello, 15 fuckin' years old people! Yeah Yeah, buy March he'll be 16. So what, doesn't change my position. Sammy had it right, if Eddie wants to help Wolfie launch some kind of career, this is not the wise way to do it by throwing him out on tour with a 'shell of what they were' legendary band like Van Halen.

And Roth. Don't get me started there. Simply put. What's the betting line on whether or not they finish the tour with Roth in the line up? Roth is a big fuckin' PRICK! No way in hell can Eddie tour with Roth without being screwed up, nice roll model there Daddy-O!

Getting rid of Mike Anthony just because he talks with Hagar. Jeezus, talk about insecurity. Now I know loyalty is a huge thing with the VH brothers, but come on, they weren't doing anything at all for almost a decade and what is Mike Anthony suppose to do? Go down with the Titanic and drown? I think Mike Anthony's position during the whole time was, " Hey fella's, when your ready to get off your ass and want to produce some great music, give me a call because I'm bored and aging away over here."

I bet these Van Halen concerts get terrible reveiews and it won't take long for word to get out just how sucky they are and the attendance will drop.

David Lee Roth - Old recycled prick of a bitch who can't sing anywhere near like he used too. You'll see.

Wolfie - 15. Please make sure you don't get rodded in the contracts little boy. Make sure a Harry Potter book is part of the deal.

Eddie - Well Eddie, what can I say. You've really turned out to be a turd. Oh, you can throw a coat of paint on the turd, but it's still a turd. And what's up your looks? Hope your not on meth or heroine, Daddy-O.

Alex - Nice job brother for keeping little bro in check. Always thought you were smarter. Loyalty brother, loyalty!!!! Hey fuck the emergency row boats, lets go down with the ship and fuckin' die.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present you VAN HALEN.

Jeezus, what the fvck was I drinking when I did that post?

Damn.. This forum throws me off on a tangent sometimes. I watched the video of the girl playing. Then I linked to a 13 minute Eddie live version on you tube. Then I linked to a 1 hour plus "the van halen story" documentry. Then I linked to the infamous oakland 81 videos that someone remastered. Over two hours of van halen video watching .. gotta get off the net. I could keep on going. Holy shit, VH was powerful back in the day

Commanded a record setting fee of 1.5 million dollars...Almost 3.8 million in today's dollars...I don't think the Beatles today would get 3.8 million if they were all still alive...But of course I could be wrong...

And wrong I was...Way wrong....

According to The List, GUNS N' ROSES is rumored to have been paid £5 million (approximately $6.69 million) for its headlining performance at this year's Download festival, which took place last weekend at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England. It's believed to be the most amount of money promoter and festival organizer Andy Copping has ever handed out to a band to perform at the legendary metal festival.
