What does Diamond Dave have?

Van Halen is probably the best rock and roll band ever, certainly one of the most original.

Eddie was a modern Beethoven who couldn't read sheet music and Alex's unique style riding his hi-hat and tight high-pitched snare meant you could never mistake a VH song for any other band. I bought a Roland D-50 after 5150 was released just so I could sound like Eddie on his unique synths.

These guys made it the old fashioned way, building their fanbase playing backyard parties where eventually thousands would show up to hear them.

Pretty much the ultimate party band when rock and roll and California were in their primes.

Van Halen had their place. I had a lot of moods for certain bands and Van Halen perhaps, perhaps…combined with both Roth and Hagar I had a mood for in first place. Roth alone, AC/DC and Def Leppard wins. Hagar alone, Def Leppard and AC/DC in that order. But between Hagar and Roth combined..Eddie Van Halen wins.

This one brings back a many of memories back on the gravel roads in Northeast Nebraska back in the late ‘80’s. Fun times. Crazy times. If my son was doing this shit now…I’d kill him, Metaphorically speaking.
