New York City police have arrested a man for allegedly assaulting the woman who recorded Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling making racist comments.
Police say 40-year-old Dominick Diorio, of Old Bethpage, was arrested Tuesday on charges of third-degree assault as a hate crime, assault, harassment and aggravated harassment. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.
Police say V. Stiviano told detectives on Monday that she was assaulted the night before by two men who may have made racial slurs outside the Gansevoort Hotel in Manhattan's Meatpacking District.
