Unranked Home favorites VS ranked opponents are 45-54 the past 10 years (since 2006 season). Laying 3 or 3.5 they are 9-14.

Yeah I think it is somewhat of a myth that the unranked fav angle works in college football like it does in college basketball.

Line is now USC -4.5!!!! What the hell is going on.... I'm literally lost on this line movement... There's some serious money either from sharps or just the public not acknowledging Utah whatsoever... In my opinion I think the Utes lose at least one game and probably lose the pac 12 title game as well but holy crap USC is a train wreck at this point... I don't think USC is terrible because their QB and skill players are legit but how this line is trending so heavily in favor of a 3-3 team is beyond me...something stinks... Makes me wonder if some big names in the sports wagering world have some pivotal inside Intel on an injury or something bigger :think2:

Utah + 3 temple + 2.5 2 sucker bets both go down in flames.

How is Temple +2.5 to +3 a sucker bet? :think2:
Reason I ask is I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger on East Carolina -3. Yet, I'm waffling. :scared: I need to be talked out of backing the "sexy" pick of Temple and their Cinderella season.

I've been leaning to ECU because of the strength of schedule variable. I'm certain everyone agrees ECU has faced a much tougher schedule than Temple's.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, Cincinnati threw for a lot of yards against Temple earlier in the season. Is the ECU QB and offense capable of passing on the vaunted Temple D? :think2:

Lots of homers from Southern Cal bet USC when they go to Vegas so the LM doesn't scare me.

With USC's season pretty much over and Utah battling for a playoff spot, I wouldn't have second thoughts about going with Utah ML.

USC -6½ now.

I have USC -4 and I don't like this now. If it gets to 7 may buy some back.

Needless to say at +7 I like the Utes even more. I don't call anything a "lock" or "GOY" or any of that nonsense. Look its college football and its totally possible Utah shits the bed like Boise a week ago yesterday and pukes up 8 turnovers and loses 52 to 26.
I like Utah's coaching generally speaking they don't kill themselves with tons of stupid mistakes. I think Wilson is a top 3 college QB and Booker is a top 3 college RB. And I think the Utes are better in the trenches as they showed against Oregon. Still like this play this evening, just giving my 2 cents.

Game just started, 7-0 USC. Like all i was wondering why the jump from 3.5 to 6.5, 7. most said its syndicate money etc. usually when a line moves there is usually a fundamental reason for the move. In todays game, Utahs leading tackler is out, huge loss and Sc's Jew Jew Smith (his parents really like the Jewish religion, I guess) a speed demon is going to get more touches on offense.

Utah and Temple are anything but sucker bets. Before you say its easy to say now, I had 4 units on Temple making them my biggest play of the week. Got Utah at 3.5 and bought some more at 6.5 buying to +7.

Those of you calling these sucker bets have no clue. None. Duke was a ranked dog at Va Tech today, how did that turn out? Had them too. They are all posted in my thread, no red boarding.

The suckers are the ones that believe this ranked dog bullshit, trying to read lines, and generally making statements out of their asses without anything to back it up. The public has run this line up as much as anyone. Look at this board, everyone going apeshit for USC.

Its early, anything can happen. But enough with this talk about "sucker bets". Lots of very informed and excellent handicappers are on these so called "sucker" bets. When you play poker and can't spot the fish, guess who it is? Playing against these ranked dogs hasn't turned out very well for all of the experts calling them "sucker" bets.

Utah was overrated. I stated that the undefeated will start to slowly fall starting this week and the Utes go down. Next up on the list to lose will be LSU on Nov 7th to Alabama. You heard it here first

The center USC played without, Max Tuerk was easily the best center in the pac 12 and one of 3 or 4 on the list for best in country. He called the line plays. USC had 2 other freshmen starting on the line, in positions they didn't normally play.I guess it matters if your coach falls in a bottle to cope with his divorce. They didn't get their preseason ranking for no reason. Sark was too insecure, and after the first 2 blowouts, and Maxs injury he played too cautiously.

Caps off to the line makers.
